Abstract: The invention relates to thin-film photovoltaic modules which are made semi-transparent by laser ablation or by lithography processes. The transparency areas form a network of repetitive patterns such as a network of circular or hexagonal holes. The electrical insulation lines and the electrical interconnection lines between the cells are positioned at random either in the transparency areas or in the non-transparency areas, and demonstrate visual effects which reduce the homogeneous quality of the photovoltaic module. In order to make them invisible to the naked eye, the electrical insulation lines are positioned in transparency areas arranged in straight bands having high transparency density, and the electrical interconnection lines are positioned in transparency areas arranged in straight bands having low transparency density.
