  • Publication number: 20250141255
Abstract: This disclosure presents an electrical power supply system designed to power an electrical power supply bus efficiently. The system comprises an electronic controller in communication with a bidirectional boost/buck DC/DC converter connected to a charge storage medium, a first voltage sensor monitoring the power supply bus voltage, a second voltage sensor monitoring the charge storage medium voltage, and a current sensor measuring the charge storage medium current. The electronic controller is programmed to regulate the power supply bus voltage to a set target voltage using input from the first voltage sensor, monitor the charge storage medium voltage and current, estimate the power supply bus current based on the charge storage medium data, and adjust the power supply bus voltage to a lower target voltage if the estimated current exceeds a predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20250141250
Abstract: An electrical power supply designed to supply electrical power to an electrical power bus is presented herein. The electrical power supply comprises an electronic controller connected to a DC/DC converter and a current sensor for measuring the converter's current. The DC/DC converter is linked to a power conductor of the electrical power bus through a first switch and to a ground conductor through a second switch. The electronic controller is programmed to manage the first and second switches, disconnecting the DC/DC converter from the power bus when the current surpasses a predetermined threshold. This innovative system ensures efficient power management and protection against overcurrent situations in electrical power supply applications.

  • Publication number: 20240367540
Abstract: A control system for controlling a vehicle charger including a power factor correction (PFC) circuit includes a resistance measuring circuit configured to make first resistance measurements at a positive DC terminal of the PFC circuit and second resistance measurements at a negative DC terminal of the PFC circuit. The control system includes a controller configured to, in response to the PFC circuit being in a selected switching state, compare one of the first resistance measurements to a positive threshold. The one of the first resistance measurements is made while the PFC circuit is in the selected switching state. The positive threshold is based on a first parallel combination of one or more resistances corresponding to the selected switching state of the PFC circuit. If the one of the first resistance measurements is less than the positive threshold, the controller disables operation of the vehicle charger.

  • Patent number: 10804808
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment, a system and method of controlling a direct current to direct current converter that comprises a primary full bridge coupled to a secondary full bridge via a transformer. After the start-up time period, an electronic data processor controls the converter to operate efficiently in a first control mode, a second control mode, or a third control mode, wherein the first control mode comprises a phase shift mode, the second control mode comprises a triangular waveform control mode and wherein the third control mode comprises a trapezoidal waveform control mode. The electronic data processor determines a maximum target power range and a transition power level threshold for each one of the control modes.

  • Publication number: 20190065689
Abstract: Implementations are directed to receiving source data comprising data representative of medical events, processing the source data using natural language processing (NLP) techniques to provide a plurality of feature sets, providing event-specific predictive models based on the plurality of feature sets, each event-specific predictive model being specific to a particular medical event, receiving real-time data from data sources, the real-time data being representative of occurring healthcare conditions, processing the real-time data using at least one event-specific predictive model associated with a medical event to provide a predictive output that indicates a likelihood of occurrence of the medical event, and selectively broadcasting electronic messages to remote devices at least partially based on the predictive output, at least one electronic message including data associated with the medical event, and data indicative of information and sources of information for mitigating exposure to the medical event.

  • Patent number: 10120898
Abstract: A system has worker machines connected by a network. Each worker machine stores at least one partition of a distributed database and a partial function module to initialize a database dimension, increment an aggregate of the database dimension in response to a data change and to serialize a last aggregate of the database dimension in response to a refresh operation to form partial results of an analytical view. An analytical view machine connected to the network responds to a query without accessing a partition of the distributed database. The analytical view machine merges partial results from the worker machines to produce a final result to the query.

  • Publication number: 20130250802
Abstract: A datacenter network, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for reducing cabling costs in the datacenter network are provided. The datacenter network is represented by a network topology that interconnects a plurality of network elements and a physical topology that is organized into a plurality of physical elements and physical units. A network design module assigns network elements to the plurality of physical elements and physical units based on a hierarchical partitioning of the physical topology and a matching hierarchical partitioning of the network topology that reduces costs of cables used to interconnect the network elements in the physical topology.

  • Publication number: 20110029292
Abstract: A power estimation tool (1) receives as inputs a netlist (2) for a circuit and a library (3) of power models having values for power consumption of circuit components. It stores estimated values for components which are not randomness-preserving, and accurate values for components which are randomness-preserving. A component is randomness-preserving if input and output fixed length strings are random, in which each element in a sequence has an equal probability to occur. The values in the library (3) for randomness-preserving components are for small, low-level, components and are exact. The latter values ma for example be provided in specifications for standard low-level components such as XOR gates. The tool (1) feeds as an output average power consumption for the whole target circuit into a circuit design process (4). The input to the design process may be used in iterative cycles in which there is dynamic change of a netlist so that a target circuit can be optimized for power efficiency.
