  • Patent number: 5202551
Abstract: A reading device for an integrated circuit card includes a slide movable in an insertion direction of the integrated circuit card between a rest and an operational position and is loaded by a spring in a direction opposite to the insertion direction. The slide is blocked in its rest position by a locking device switchable between a blocking position and first and second release positions. The locking device is loaded by a further spring in the direction of the blocking position when the integrated circuit card is not inserted. At the end of an insertion movement of an integrated circuit card past a read position into an adjacent over position, the locking device is switched into its first release position by the integrated circuit card, whereby the slide is moved from its rest position into its operational position. During movement of the slide, a contact carrier is moved into contact with contacts on the circuit card.

  • Patent number: 4892326
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety ski binding and, in particular, to a heel support having a base plate supporting a vertical pivot and fastened to the upper side of a ski. The heel support is equipped with a sole support and with a pivotable support plate, along the heel area of the ski boot. The support plate is pushed into a central position by a spring. In order to shift the axis of rotation of the ski boot in such a ski binding to be substantially in alignment with the extension of the shinbone and to simplify the construction of the ski binding as well, the invention provides that the pivot is disposed between front jaw and heel support of the ski binding. The support plate is pivotably mounted at the pivot and the spring is extended in the longitudinal direction of the ski in the skiing position. The spring acts on a roller. The axle of the roller is guided in a slot in the support plate and anchored in the bearing block of the heel support. A cam is rigidly fastened to the roller.

  • Patent number: 4863162
Abstract: A gymnastics apparatus having a support rod and a handle bar movable toward and away from one another against the force of a spring. A connecting rod and a pipe is arranged between the support rod and the handle bar, the pipe surrounding the connecting rod and housing the spring. A spring abutment member which opposes the connecting rod can be adjusted in an axial direction in the pipe and can be fixed relative to the pipe. In order to facilitate, in such a gymnastics apparatus, an adjustment to various body sizes, the invention provides that the connecting rod is connected, if desired hingedly, to the support rod and the pipe to the handle bar.

  • Patent number: 4804202
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety ski binding and in particular, a heel support having a base plate supporting a vertical pivot, the heel support being fastened to the upper side of the ski. The heel support includes a sole support being upwardly pivotable against detachable locking and a support plate for the heel of the ski boot, which can be pivoted about a vertical axle. The support plate is pushed by a spring into its central position along the ski. To shift in such a ski binding the axis of rotation for the ski boot is essentially an extension of the shinbone of the skier. Thus, the pivot is located between the front jaw and the heel support and the support plate is pivotally mounted at the pivot. The heel support is opened in a horizontal release process by a control mechanism formed by a roller and a cam. The roller is mounted in the base plate by means of its axle extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski.

  • Patent number: 4681339
Abstract: A ski binding part, in particular a front jaw, having a guide rail adapted to be fastened to the upper side of a ski and on which is arranged a jaw unit movable in a longitudinal direction of the ski and is secured on a base plate. A housing is provided and a locking mechanism for locking the jaw unit in predetermined sliding positions on the guide rail. The locking mechanism has a locking part which is movably held on the jaw unit and which can be moved by a spring into a form-locking engagement selectively with a complementary locking recess on the guide rail. An operating member is adapted to engage the locking part for effecting a disengagement of the locking part from the complementary locking recess. The operating member is supported on the locking part and is provided with at least two surfaces defining an angle with one another and of which each lies at a different distance from a support point and thus determines the engaged or disengaged position of the locking part.
