  • Patent number: 9428027
Abstract: An assembly for adjusting the distance between a wheel axle of a vehicle and a surface of a road. The assembly comprises: an axle casing connected substantially parallel to at least one wheel axle and rotatably connected proximal to an underside of the vehicle. The assembly also includes at least one actuator arm fixed to and extending from the axle casing. The assembly further having at least one retraction mechanism connected in a fixed position in relation to the vehicle. The mechanism has at least one retractable linkage connected to the at least one actuator arm, which is adapted to be adjusted in length to rotate the actuator arm with respect to the vehicle.

The assembly comprises: an axle casing connected substantially parallel to at least one wheel axle and rotatably connected proximal to an underside of the vehicle. The assembly also includes at least one actuator arm fixed to and exact tending from the axle casing. The assembly further having at least one retraction mechanism connected in a fixed position in relation to the vehicle. The mechanism has at least one retractable linkage connected to the at least one actuator arm, which is adapted to be adjusted in length to rotate the actuator arm with respect to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20140167545
Abstract: A magnetic coupling (20) comprises first and second coupling members (21, 23), arranged concentrically within one another. Each coupling member (21, 23), has a respective series of projecting permanent magnets (3). On each of the (5) coupling members (21, 23), each of the magnets 3 has opposite faces of opposite polarity and consecutive magnets (3) are spaced from one another with the faces of consecutive magnets (3) of alternating polarity. The magnets (3) on the coupling member (21) are disposed opposite but offset from the magnets (3) on the coupling member (23). Also disclosed is a coupling member assembled by bolts or rods (10) engaging permanent magnets (FIG. 8) and permanent magnet coupling members polarised perpendicularly to their axes of rotation (FIG. 18c).

  • Publication number: 20130023931
Abstract: A spinal traction device (50) comprises a collar (52) adapted to fit snugly around a user's neck, the collar (52) comprising a pair of elongate collar members (56) which respectively pass around both side of the user's neck and provide a grip against the user's neck and posterior jaw. A suspension means (58) is provided for suspending the collar (52) from a secure anchor point above the user's head. In use, when the user wears the collar (52) around their neck, and allows at least part of their body weight to be suspended by the collar (52) from the anchor point, the device (50) can apply traction to the user's spine.
