  • Publication number: 20240091006
Abstract: An implantable medical device is adapted to be implanted at an implantation site within the vasculature and is capable of being implanted at the implantation site within the vasculature at more than one position relative to the implantation site. This may include a relative axial position and/or a relative rotational position. The implantable medical device includes an expandable frame that is adapted to expand from a collapsed configuration for delivery to an expanded configuration for deployment, and one or more radiopaque markers disposed relative to the expandable frame such that fluoroscopic imaging of the implantable medical device during deployment provides an indication of a position of the implantable medical device relative to the implantation site. The implantable medical device may be a replacement cardiac valve such as a replacement aortic valve, for example.

  • Publication number: 20200096519
Abstract: This disclosure relates to the use of Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) to assay tissue samples. Methods of analyzing a tissue sample may generally comprise generating sample ions directly from the tissue sample using a MALDI ionization source, receiving the ions into a mass spectrometer, identifying at least one esophageal tumor related compound in the sample from results from the mass spectrometer, comparing the at least one identified esophageal tumor related compound in the sample to one or more known esophageal tumor profiles, and identifying at least one condition related to the sample from the comparison of the at least one identified esophageal tumor related compound to the one or more known esophageal tumor profiles. The mass spectrometer may be a quadrupole mass spectrometer, a time of flight mass spectrometer, an Orbitrap mass spectrometer, or an ion trap mass spectrometer.

  • Patent number: 7886557
Abstract: A water producing system adapted to condense water from the air and collected in a storage tank were the water is purified and bacteria is killed. An additive device is configured to supplement additives to the water such as minerals. An additive control system supplements the water and controls the amount of additives therein. One form of killing the bacteria is utilizing an ozone injection system with a filter system to remove the ozone before the water is dispensed.

Abstract: A water producing system adapted to condense water from the air and collected in a storage tank were the water is purified and bacteria is killed. One form of killing the bacteria is utilizing an ozone injection system with a filter system to remove the ozone before the water is dispensed. In one form, a dual fluid circuit is utilized where an operating fluid dumps heat to a second circuit such as a refrigeration cycle and the cooled operating fluid lowers the temperature of a water condensation member.

  • Publication number: 20040136944
Abstract: Shaving systems are disclosed which comprise a blade member and a skin engaging portion in proximity to the blade member, wherein the skin engaging portion includes a chelating agent capable of reducing the amount of insoluble metal salts in an aqueous liquid containing the insoluble metal salts, e.g., hard water. The chelating agent may be incorporated into a shaving aid strip or into another component of the shaving system, e.g., the leading edge or trailing edge of the shaving head. Alternatively, the chelating agent may be provided as a coating, optionally with water-sensitive polymers, to the skin engaging portion of the shaving system.
