  • Publication number: 20230007097
Abstract: An interworking service entity receives server registration requests including indications of service layer protocols used by each server, maintains a repository of server information, and uses the repository for interworking requests of devices to servers of different protocols based on a server type provided in discovery requests. Other matching information may include, for example, server security protocol, supported services, service territory, availability, capacity, or loading, as device information or preferences, such a supported service, supported interface type, or a supported device type.

  • Publication number: 20180013782
Abstract: An authentication assurance level associated with an entity, for instance a user equipment, may be computed periodically or in response to an event. The authentication assurance level is compared to an authentication threshold. Based on the comparison, it is determined whether a fresh performance of at least one authentication factor needs to be performed. Thus, appropriate authentication factors and functions may be invoked on a periodic basis to maintain a certain authentication assurance level, which is referred to herein as the assurance threshold. The authentication assurance level may change, for instance decay, over time and may be refreshed periodically.

  • Publication number: 20170374070
Abstract: Current approaches to multi-factor authentication lack scalability, among other capabilities and efficiencies. Described herein are methods, devices, and systems that provide for robust and scalable multi-factor authentication using a combination of network-based and device-based authentications. In an example embodiment, a common policy framework enables policy enforcements to be carried out in the network or on the device. As described below, the framework may provide synchronization of policies and authentication results between a network entity and an entity on a user device.

  • Publication number: 20070054682
Abstract: The present invention relates to broadband wireless communication using multiple carrier frequencies, and the selection or allocation of those frequencies. The invention is particularly but not exclusively related to ultra wideband (UWB) technologies. The present invention provides a method of dynamically selecting carrier frequencies for carrying a broadband channel, the method comprising: allocate a group of carrier frequencies for carrying the broadband channel; identify a number of alterative groups of carrier frequencies; monitor channel performance of the broadband channel for the allocated group of carrier frequencies; re-allocate the broadband channel to be carried by one of the alternative groups of carrier frequencies in response to the monitored channel performance degrading below a threshold.
