  • Patent number: 11674355
Abstract: Pipelines with a control system and forced circulation of fluids through the annulus between an inner barrier and an outer cover of a pipe use a system configured to force circulation of fluids through the annulus. The pipe includes segments (T1, T2, T3, TN) joined together by means of connectors, wherein each segment of the pipe has an injector pipe (I1, I2, I3, IN) for injecting fluid into the annulus at a first end of the segment, and a return pipe (R1, R2, R3, RN) for removing fluid from the annulus at a second end of the segment.

    Filed: May 30, 2018
Date of Patent: June 13, 2023
    Assignee: PETRÓLEO BRASILEIRO S.A.—PETROBRAS
Inventors: Marcos Carpigiani De Almeida, George Carneiro Campello, Jonatas Ribeiro, Rafael Guimarães De Mello Sobreira, Walter Carrara Loureiro Junior, Marcelo Torres Piza Paes
  • Patent number: 11549634
Abstract: A flexible pipe connector for effecting control and forced circulation of corrosion-inhibiting fluids through an annulus between inner and outer sheaths of a flexible pipe having multiple connected segments includes an attachment mechanism for connecting to an end of a segment of flexible pipe and at least two distributing rings for distributing corrosion-inhibiting fluid. The rings are configured to be positioned in the annulus of the flexible pipe, wherein at least one distributing ring has fluidic access to the annulus of the flexible pipe. This distributing ring is configured to be connected fluidically to at least one distributing ring, in an adjacent connector, that does not have fluidic access to the annulus, A distributing ring that does not have fluidic access to the annulus of the flexible pipe is configured to be connected fluidically to at least one distributing ring, in an adjacent connector, that comprises fluidic access to the annulus.

  • Patent number: 11204113
Abstract: A pipe is used for control and forced circulation of corrosion-inhibiting fluids in an annulus thereof, the annulus located between an inner pressure barrier and an outer cover of the pipe and containing a number of layers. The pipe includes two layers of tensile armor within the annulus; at least one injection pipe laid helicoidally on the longitudinal extension of the pipe; at least one return pipe laid helicoidally on the longitudinal extension of the pipe; and a ventilation layer within the annulus, the ventilation layer being configured to facilitate the flow of fluids longitudinally through the annulus of the pipe.
