    Abstract: An implant may be secured to a cardiac septum. The implant may include an anchor portion that embeds within the septum or an anchor portion with inflatable first and second anchor balloons coupled to one another through an aperture in the cardiac septum. The anchor balloons include a deflated width that is less than a width of the aperture. The anchor balloons include an inflated width that is greater than the width of the aperture. The implant includes at least one inflatable assist balloon to correct a cardiac dysfunction, such as systolic dysfunction or valve insufficiency. The assist balloon may assume a first shape during cardiac systole and a second shape during cardiac diastole. The implant includes catheter tubing including at least one lumen through which a fluid may be introduced to inflate the assist or anchor balloons. A pump and associated electronics may inflate and deflate the assist balloon.
