  • Patent number: 9452472
Abstract: A wear resistant casting and method of fabrication thereof, the casting comprising inserts embedded in a matrix; each insert having a form such that a ratio A/B in any mutually perpendicular section that passes through the center of mass of the insert is comprised between 0.4 and 2.5, and a distance C between two insert is at least two times smaller that a width thereof; the inserts forming at least one grid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 18, 2008
Date of Patent: September 27, 2016
    Inventors: Igor Tsypine, Rafael Perlin

  • Patent number: 6447043
Abstract: A vehicle body closure assembly combines a hinge, that provides a plurality of pivot axes that are aligned with a common intersection point above a body opening closed by a closure panel hinged to the vehicle body, and a displacement limiter that controls the open position of the closure so that the hinge pieces maintain a stable alignment with respect to each other. Preferably, the hinge structure or adjacent supports include the displacement limiter. A panel mount defmes a first hinge axis, a body mount defines a second axis and a pair of links are pivotally secured together between the panel mount and the body mount to complete a hinge set. Preferably, a pair of hinge sets are secured to the hinge side of the closure panel to align said panel for movement in a non-interfering path with respect to body portions adjacent the path.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 9, 2001
Date of Patent: September 10, 2002
    Assignee: M & C Corporation

  • Patent number: 4235125
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes an automatic stepless transmission with a continuously changing gear ratio; the transmission comprises two differential gear mechanisms interconnected through a pair of gear connections so that the power flow from the first differential gear mechanism to the second differential gear mechanism is divided into two components when the transmission is "in gear".
