Patent number: 11884478Abstract: An egg carton having base and lid trays that when disposed in vertical alignment (with the lid tray on top of the base tray) form a closed egg carton. The base and lid trays each include a pair of mating handle components, such that when assembled to form a closed carton provide both enhanced strength and ease of carrying the assembled carton. The handles also facilitate handling of the base and lid trays separately during manufacture, packing and transport, and during and after filling the base with eggs. The new base, lid and carton assembly are particularly useful when adapted for holding more than a dozen eggs, for example when holding 30 or more eggs in a rectilinear array of egg cells (arranged in linear rows and transverse linear columns), such as a 5×6 array of egg cells.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2021Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Assignee: Tekni-Plex, Inc.Inventors: Babu Kuruvilla, Rafael Rivera, Roger Lichtle, Mark A. Bergeron

Patent number: 10463173Abstract: A system for pushing products for purposes of dispensing the products. Systems can include a base track, a fence tracker, a rear cap, and a rounded front guard that define a product containment channel for containing products in a queue for dispensing. Systems can also include a pusher mechanism for applying a constant and substantially uniform force to a product to push the product towards a rounded front guard where it can be dispensed.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2017Date of Patent: November 5, 2019Assignee: Beeline Group, LLCInventors: Gary Robbins, Steven Resnick, Miguel Anaya, Rafael Rivera, Jon Michael Ringham

Patent number: 9250010Abstract: An encapsulated refrigerator shelf is assembled by interconnecting a platform, such as a glass panel, within a peripheral frame. More specifically, a peripheral shelf frame is formed with a split side portion defining upper and lower frame portions which are spaced by an elongated slot. The encapsulated glass refrigerator shelf is made by slidably inserting the platform onto peripheral frame support structure through the slot formed between the upper and lower frame portions. The frame is also formed with retaining structure to maintain the platform in place once the platform is inserted a requisite amount within the peripheral frame.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2009Date of Patent: February 2, 2016Assignee: Whirlpool CorporationInventors: Rogelio De La Garza, Frank Klitzing, Carlos Lopez, Rafael Rivera

Patent number: 7322786Abstract: A mobile loader is driven to a dockside location underlying the spreader bar of a marine terminal crane. A delivery vehicle such as a train or a truck is driven into the loader at such dockside location so that containers maybe transferred between the delivery vehicle and a platform located within the loader in lateral adjacency to the delivery vehicle. Motorized devices are provided for respectively transferring containers between the delivery vehicle and the platform, aligning the platform below the spreader bar, elevating the platform toward the overlying crane spreader bar to reduce its required descent for attachment to the container and aligning the crane spreader bar as it descends onto a container.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2004Date of Patent: January 29, 2008Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Rafael Rivera, Christopher Clemmer

Patent number: 6981598Abstract: Containers are respectively loaded onto and delivered from two trolleys of a single crane at pick-up and delivery locations by guided travel of one of the trolleys along a fixed travel path on a boom between the delivery location at one end of the boom and a turn-table platform of the crane on which a pair of angularly related track paths are established for alternative alignment with the fixed travel path on the boom, to accommodate transfer of the trolleys between such fixed travel path and either one of the track paths on the platform.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2004Date of Patent: January 3, 2006Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Rafael Rivera, Christopher Clemmer

Patent number: 6976599Abstract: Containers are respectively loaded onto and delivered from two trolleys of a single crane at pick-up and delivery locations by guided travel along a fixed travel path on a boom between the delivery location at one end of the boom and a central structure of the crane with a platform positioned thereon having a pair of parallel spaced track paths. Lateral movement of the platform alternatively aligns one of the parallel track paths with the fixed travel path to accommodate transfer of the trolleys along such fixed travel path and either one of the track paths on the platform between the pick-up and delivery locations.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2004Date of Patent: December 20, 2005Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Rafael Rivera, Christopher Clemmer

Patent number: 4833784Abstract: This invention relates to devices which can be mechanically actuated by the user for marking lottery and other game cards to indicate selected numbers. A shallow elongated container is provided in which the card to be marked is fixed in place. A U-shaped yoke fastened at one end of the container functions to pivotally support a tubular sleeve, which rotates up and down through a small angle against a spring bias. A shaft is interposed to be moved slideably in the sleeve in the lengthwise direction of the container. The shaft terminates at its inner end in a marking head, which is pivotally connected to move in a horizontal plane. A rod depending from the marking head supports stamping means which is constructed, when inked and depressed, to make an impression on the card to indicate a selected number. In one embodiment, the ink is stored in the marking head, and passes to the stamping means through a wick.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1988Date of Patent: May 30, 1989Inventor: Rafael Rivera

Patent number: H2162Abstract: A wheel supported conveyor having a central platform crane section disposed between opposite end crane sections is positioned in underlying relation to a container holding spreader of a dockside terminal crane for transfer of containers to and from the chassis of trucks moved into loading positions without obstruction along parallel spaced passage lanes formed in the end crane sections. Sections of a roller track are respectively associated with each of the conveyor crane sections for displacement of the containers laterally between a common track path and the truck passage lanes. Container spreaders are slidably mounted on the end crane sections effecting said lateral displacement of containers between the truck passage lanes and the common roller track path.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2003Date of Patent: July 4, 2006Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Rafael Rivera, Christopher Clemmer
