  • Patent number: 10946348
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a beverage from a beverage bottle, especially for dispensing wine from a wine bottle and facilitating the aeration of the dispensed wine while it is being poured to shorten the time normally devoted to breathing the wine. An open lesser end of the dispenser inserts into the neck of a wine bottle and preferably seals therein. A valve may be closed to temporarily preserve the wine in the bottle for later aeration while dispensing.

  • Patent number: 8498851
Abstract: An improved method and computer system is provided, for analyzing the two- or three-dimensional movement of a fluid in an absorbent article that comprises fluid-swellable composite material, which comprises a fluid-swellable solid material, and that comprises void spaces in the fluid-swellable composite material, the fluid-swellable composite material being defined by a virtual two-dimensional or three-dimensional mesh, to determine the performance or property of at least one feature of the fluid-swellable composite material thereof, or the absorbent article, the method comprising: inputting one or more properties for the fluid-swellable (composite) material into a model and evaluating this to determine the performance of a feature of the absorbent article or fluid-swellable composite material thereof, the virtual model.

  • Patent number: 7869964
Abstract: A method for designing an absorbent article and evaluating its absorption behaviour is disclosed. A system using the method, is also disclosed. The method may be used for analyzing movement of a fluid in an absorbent article that comprises fluid-swellable composite material, to determine the performance of at least one feature of the absorbent article. The method includes inputting one or more properties for said fluid-swellable composite material into a virtual model of the absorbent article to produce a representation of at least one feature of the absorbent article and evaluating the virtual model of the absorbent article to determine the performance of the feature.

  • Publication number: 20060135920
Abstract: The present invention relates to absorbent articles, such as diapers and sanitary napkins, and topsheets useful for such articles. More specifically, the invention relates to an absorbent article (20) comprising: a liquid impervious backsheet (26); a liquid pervious topsheet (24) joined to said backsheet (26), said topsheet (24) having an inner surface oriented toward an interior of said article (20) and an outer surface oriented toward the skin of a wearer when said article is being worn, wherein at least a portion of said topsheet outer surface comprises a lotion an absorbent core (28) positioned between said topsheet (24) and said backsheet (26); wherein the lotion is applied to the liquid pervious topsheet (24) in the form of a pattern of a plurality of stripes (70), that are separated by a plurality of areas having no lotion; and the pattern of a plurality of stripes (70) is a discontinuous pattern.
