  • Patent number: 9387096
Abstract: Methods and systems are used for monitoring a global position or location of a prosthetic or orthotic device and to provide feedback control of the device. Certain methods may employ remote transmitting devices and receivers to recognize when a prosthetic or orthotic device user is in a moving vehicle and, therefore, initiate automatic shut-off, driving mode, or relaxed mode. Other methods may employ remote transmitting devices and receivers to identify the global position of the prosthetic or orthotic device, compare the global position to a stored terrain mapped database and output feedback control instructions and/or alerts to the prosthetic or orthotic device based at least in part on the stored terrain mapping information.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 16, 2010
Date of Patent: July 12, 2016
    Assignee: Ossur HF
Inventors: Ragnar Sverrisson, Arinbjörn V. Clausen

  • Publication number: 20090035434
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for cutting objects, such as chicken breast in a portion with fixed weight and fixed shape. This is done by situating an object into a mould defining a predetermined shape, applying under-pressure in the mould for positioning the object in a fixed position, and cutting the part according to predetermined pattern depending on the desired end product.

  • Publication number: 20060027060
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for cutting objects, such as chicken breast in a portion with fixed weight and fixed shape. This is done by situating an object into a mould defining a predetermined shape, applying under-pressure in the mould for positioning the object in a fixed position, and cutting the part of the object extending over the mould so that the remaining part of the object is essentially the part filling the mould.

  • Publication number: 20030036344
Abstract: The invention concerns apparatus and method for automatic cutting of objects into portions of reduced dimension. More specifically the invention concerns a cutting device (9) placed horizontally over a transporting conveyor (3). The cutting device is further operatively connected to a computer (6) and moveable in an up- and downward direction with respect to the conveyor. The characteristics of the object to be cut are determined. By utilising at least one of the characteristics to establishing the desired cutting pattern one is able to cut the object into portions of predetermined thickness by band saw cutting blade (7).
