  • Patent number: 12148757
Abstract: Disclosed herein are IC structures, packages, and devices that include Si-based semiconductor material stack monolithically integrated on the same support structure as non-Si transistors or other non-Si-based devices. In some aspects, the Si-based semiconductor material stack may be provided by semiconductor regrowth over an insulator material. Providing a Si-based semiconductor material stack monolithically integrated on the same support structure as non-Si based devices may provide a viable approach to integrating Si-based transistors with non-Si technologies because the Si-based semiconductor material stack may serve as a foundation for forming Si-based transistors.

  • Patent number: 11283643
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products to provide direct external network access at an access point (AP) in a managed wide area network (WAN). The method may include establishing an application host interface (AHI) at an access point and receiving application data from one or more client devices connected to the access point. The method may also include determining that the application data is received from a permitted application as shown in a list of applications permitted to use the AHI and routing, using the AHI, the received application data to the data destination via the external network thereby bypassing the WLC.

  • Patent number: 11178540
Abstract: In accordance with one aspect, presented herein is a method to encrypt beacon device telemetry broadcast packets while respecting the low power and low processing requirements inherent to wireless beacon devices and various other challenges which such an encryption scheme brings. In accordance with another aspect, a methodology is provided through which the network can identify if an unauthorized connection is being established with a beacon device and thereby prevent potential beacon device tampering.

  • Patent number: 11143738
Abstract: An access point includes first and second radios that operate in accordance with first and second wireless protocols, respectively. The access point performs a method including receiving a first protocol packet of the first wireless protocol and a second protocol packet of the second wireless protocol transmitted by a wireless device over a communication channel, and measuring a first received power of the first protocol packet and a second received power of the second protocol packet at the access point. The method further includes determining whether reception times of the first protocol packet and the second protocol packet are within a coherence time for the communication channel and, when the reception times are within the coherence time, combining the first received power and the second received power into a multiprotocol received power. The method also includes determining a location of the wireless device based on the multiprotocol received power.

  • Patent number: 10172136
Abstract: An example method is for controlling a wireless WAN modem configured to attach to a cellular network is disclosed. The method includes determining values of variables indicating a number of attachments of the modem to the cellular network, a received signal strength indication (RSSI) for the modem detecting the cellular network, whether the modem is registered with the cellular network, whether the modem is attached to the cellular network, whether the modem is attached to the cellular network of a predefined technology, and whether the modem is connected via the cellular network to a further network. The method also includes disrupting provision of power to the modem when the values of the variables satisfy a specified set of criteria.

  • Patent number: 7260058
Abstract: A method for resolving primary section mismatch at a local node coupled to a remote node with two working sections is disclosed. A first working section is initially identified as the primary section and a second working section is initially identified as the secondary section. The primary section supports network traffic and the secondary section operates as a backup for the primary section. The method includes receiving a status indication change of the working section identified as the primary section at the local node and switching the primary section to the second working section at the local node. A timer is started upon switching the primary section to the second working section at the local node and the primary section is switched back to the first working section at the local node after the timer expires if the other node has not switched its primary section.
