Abstract: A sensing system for a refrigerator dispensing system is used to sense the presence, positioning, height and shape of a container placed in a dispensing well. When the presence of the container is sensed in the dispensing well and the container is properly positioned relative to a dispensing nozzle of the well, a dispensing operation can be performed. The actual dispensing operation is regulated based on the height and shape of the container. In this manner, dispensing operations can only be performed when a container is appropriately arranged in the dispensing well and the dispensing operation will be timely terminated based the size and shape of particular container employed.

Antioxidants which partition into the aqueous phase of bi-phasic or multi-phasic topical pharmaceutical formulations inhibit desulfurization of phosphorothioate oligonucleotides, resulting in enhanced oligonucleotide stability.

Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions and methods which enhance the delivery of oligonucleotides and other nucleosidic moieties via topical routes of administration. Preferred compositions include liposomes or penetration enhancers for the delivery of such moieties to dermal and/or epidermal tissue in an animal for investigative, therapeutic or prophylactic purposes.

Abstract: File system disaster recovery techniques provide automated monitoring, failure detection and multi-step failover from a primary designated target to one of a designated group of secondary designated targets. Secondary designated targets may be prioritized so that failover occurs in a prescribed sequence. Replication of information between the primary designated target and the secondary designated targets allows failover in a manner that maximizes continuity of operation. In addition, user-specified actions may be initiated on failure detection and/or on failover operations and/or on failback operations.

Abstract: A method and apparatus that provides for grouping nodes in multiple VLANs using port based VLAN grouping, and explicitly associates one of multiple VLANs with a packet transmitted by the nodes, using IEEE 802.1Q based frame tagging. A switch receives an untagged packet, filters the packet, and based on the contents of the packet, inserts a tag header with a common VLAN identifier and a unique tag protocol identifier (TPID).
