Abstract: This invention relates to uses of graphene oxide, and in particular graphene oxide on a porous support, and a membrane comprising these materials. This invention also relates to methods of dehydration, which include vapour phase separation and pervaporation. Pervaporation is a method of separating mixtures of liquids using a membrane. Pervaporation consists of two basic steps: permeation of the permeate through the membrane and evaporation of the permeate from the other side of the membrane. Pervaporation is a mild which can be used to separate components which would not survive the comparatively harsh conditions needed for distillation (high temp, and/or low pressure).

Abstract: A diagnosis system for an adaptive signal control system in a network, the diagnosis system including a traffic state identification device configured to estimate a traffic state describing a supply-demand mismatch by identifying a relationship between real time data feed from a sensor and a control strategy of said adaptive signal control system and a network transition model device configured to diagnose the supply-demand mismatch and an evolution of the supply-demand mismatch on a network level based on said relationship and infrastructure data of the network.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing an image-to-marketplace brokering system include a system provider device that receives, through communication over a network with a user device, an expression of interest of an image of a first item, which the system provider device may thereby use to provide an association between the image and a merchandise listing of a second item. The system provider device may then extract information related to the merchandise listing of the second item, and thereby generate a marketplace summary including the information related to the merchandise listing of the second item. Thereafter, the generated marketplace summary may be displayed by way of a user device. Thus, the embodiments described herein provide users with the ability to quickly access information about an item and/or purchase the item that they like without having to personally identify the item or perform their own search for the item.

Abstract: A system and method for data privacy in URL based context queries. A reference to a data object is received from a user. At least one entity that controls the data object is identified via the network. At least one permission for the data object is retrieved via the network, wherein the permission is associated with the entity that controls the data object. It is then determined, via the network, if the user is permitted to access to the data object using the permission for the data object and spatial data, temporal data social data and logical data available to the network that relates to the user and to the permission for the data object. If the user is permitted access to the data object, access is granted to the data object, and if the user is nor permitted access to the data object, access is denied to the data object.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a file management system include a system provider device that receives, through communication over a network with a user device, a request to create a file management account. The system provider device may then provide a DBMS layer that interfaces and mediates communication between a webmail file system and a UI application. In some cases, the webmail file system includes file storage for at least one webmail provider, and the at least one webmail provider includes a user webmail account. Thereafter, the system provider device may copy a file into the UI application by attaching the file to a draft email within the user webmail account, where the draft email including the attached file is saved in the file storage for the at least one webmail provider.

Abstract: Search results may include both objective results and person results. In one example, a search query is evaluated to determine whether it is the type of query that a user might want to ask to a friend. If the query is of such a type, then the search engine may examine a social graph to determine which friends of the user who entered the query may have information that is relevant to answering the query. If such friends exist, then the friends may be displayed along with objective search results, along with an explanation of each friend's relevance to the query. Clicking on a person in the results may cause a conversation to be initiated with that person, thereby allowing the user who entered the query to ask his or her friend about the subject of the query.

Abstract: A system or method is provided to allow users to share or donate a portion of their credit line to others. In particular, the system may provide an interface between credit line donors and recipients and allow a user's friends or family to donate portions of their credit lines to the user. With the system serving as an intermediary between the borrowers and the lenders, the credit line donation arrangement may be hidden from the lenders. The system may manage the distribution of the credit line from the five donor friends to the beneficiary friend. Further, the system may manage the payoff or pay back of the credit lines from the beneficiary friend back to the lenders. In particular, based on the donation arrangement, the system may receive the payoff amount from the beneficiary user and distribute the payoff back to the lenders.

The centralized platform system may identify a set of central accounts at the centralized platform system linked to the updated account information, identify a set of accounts that the user has with one or more other entities and that correspond with the set of central accounts, and publish the user's updated account information to the one or more entities.

Abstract: Systems and methods for accelerating availability of funds involved in a money transfer from a first user account at a first financial institution to a second user account at a second financial institution. An example method includes receiving a first message from the first financial institution that indicates intent to transfer a monetary amount from the first user account to the second user account. Upon receiving the message, it is determined whether the second user account is associated with a money cache account and if so, transferring at least a portion of the indicated monetary amount from the money cache account to the second user account. At a later time, a second message is received from the first financial institution that includes the monetary amount to be transferred. The second message is processed by transferring at least a portion of the received monetary amount to the money cache account.
