  • Publication number: 20230376605
Abstract: A storage appliance or system may support backup and recovery for virtual machines that support various applications. The storage appliance or system may process a backup snapshot of the virtual machine to identify security vulnerabilities in the virtual machine. The storage appliance may generate an index of software packages installed on the virtual machine and software versions of the software packages. The index of software packages may be compared to a list of security vulnerabilities to identify the security vulnerability at the virtual machine. A notification may be triggered, and the notification may indicate a result of comparing the index of software packages and the software versions to the list of vulnerabilities. In some examples, a set of network configurations implemented by the virtual machines may be determined by processing the backup snapshot and used to identify security vulnerabilities.

  • Publication number: 20230372871
Abstract: A system and method for reclaiming and treating groundwater collected from an underground level of a structure or building site to supply non-potable water to an end use system, such as an irrigation system, a pond, an equipment washing system, a cooling system, or a heating system. Groundwater seeps into such underground levels and has to be pumped out to prevent flooding the structure. Normally, this groundwater is discharged as a waste stream but can be treated for non-potable use using an three-stage treatment system comprising an ultrafiltration system, a water softener system, and a reverse osmosis system. The water softener system may be used or bypassed depending on acceptable TDS levels in the end use system and the TDS level of the reclaimed groundwater. Use of the system and method can save millions of gallons of groundwater per year per building site from being wasted.

  • Patent number: 11823661
Abstract: A computer-implemented technique is described herein for expediting a user's interaction with a digital assistant. In one implementation, the technique involves receiving a system prompt generated by a digital assistant in response to an input command provided by a user via an input device. The technique then generates a predicted response based on linguistic content of the system prompt, together with contextual features pertaining to a circumstance in which the system prompt was issued. The predicted response corresponds to a prediction of how the user will respond to the system prompt. The technique then selects one or more dialogue actions from a plurality of dialogue actions, based on a confidence value associated with the predicted response. The technique expedites the user's interaction with the digital assistant by reducing the number of system prompts that the user is asked to respond to.

  • Patent number: 11824664
Abstract: A video encoding device (e.g., a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)) may transmit an encoded frame with a frame sequence number using a transmission protocol. The video encoding device, an application on the video encoding device, and/or a protocol layer on the encoding device may detect a packet loss by receiving an error notification. The packet loss may be detected at the MAC layer. The packet loss may be signaled using spoofed packets, such as a spoofed NAM packet, a spoofed XR packet, or a spoofed ACK packet. A lost packet may be retransmitted at the MAC layer (e.g., by the encoding device or another device on the wireless path). Packet loss detection may be performed in uplink operations and/or downlink operations, and/or may be performed in video gaining applications via the cloud. The video encoding device may generate and send a second encoded frame based on the error notification.

  • Patent number: 11819412
Abstract: A penile prosthesis has an energy assembly coupled to a proximal end of a tubular body. The energy assembly has a housing enclosing a piston, a heating element, and a liquid phase change material (PCM) sealed between an interior surface of the housing and the piston. When the heating element heats the liquid PCM to a gaseous state, the piston moves in a distal direction to increase pressure in the tubular body and provide the prosthesis with erection.
