  • Publication number: 20150127097
Abstract: The invention relates to an implantable device for improving or rectifying a heart valve insufficiency, comprising a closure element (1) which can be positioned in the passage area of a heart valve, in particular in the area between an atrium (2) and a ventricle (3) of the heart, and which has an upper, upstream end (1a) and a lower, downstream end (1b), wherein at least one contact strip (4) is arranged at at least one of the ends (1a, 1b) of the closure element (1), which extends away from the closure element (1) and is led back to the closure element (1) in at least one loop, wherein at least a part of the extent of the strip can be placed against the inner wall of the heart.

  • Patent number: 7959662
Abstract: A endovascular prosthesis for implantation in a body passageway. The prosthesis comprises a tubular wall which is: (i) movable between a first longitudinal length and a second longitudinally length, and (ii) radially expandable for implantation of the prosthesis in the body passageway. In one embodiment, the tubular wall has a longitudinally length which is variable by an “accordion”-like action. In another embodiment, the tubular wall has a longitudinally length which is variable by an “telescoping”-like action. The longitudinal length of the tubular wall may be varied in vivo to optimize deployment of the endovascular prosthesis.

  • Publication number: 20040116832
Abstract: The invention relates to a catheter arrangement for invasive medical treatment for introducing and controlling a guide wire in a vessel branch or vessel entry by bending the guide wire. The catheter arrangement comprises two catheters, each having a distal end and a proximal end and a lumen, wherein the two catheters are embodied as an inner catheter 3 and an outer catheter 2 extending coaxially within one another and arranged so as to be moveable relative to one another in an axial direction, wherein the inner catheter 3 has a pre-bent distal tip 3a of a bendable material and the outer catheter 2 has a continuous lumen 22 extending from the proximal end 20 to the distal end 21 for receiving the inner catheter 3, wherein both catheters 2, 3, at a spacing from the distal end 21, have lateral openings 23, 33 for passing the guide wire F therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20040116998
Abstract: An endovascular prosthesis for implantation in a body passageway. The prosthesis comprises an elongate tubular wall comprising an annular portion for occlusion of a section of the body passageway. The annular portion comprises a first porous section and a non-porous section. In one embodiment, the non-porous section may comprise a cover material. In another embodiment, the non-porous section may comprise a series of slits, microcuts, slots, apertures and the like which serve to impede the flow of bodily fluid therethrough resulting in occlusion of an aortic disease condition located exteriorly adjacent to the deployed prosthesis.

Abstract: A endovascular prosthesis for implantation in a body passageway. The prosthesis comprises a tubular wall which is: (i) movable between a first longitudinal length and a second longitudinally length, and (ii) radially expandible for implantation of the prosthesis in the body passageway. In one embodiment, the tubular wall has a longitudinally length which is variable by an “accordian”-like action. In another embodiment, the tubular wall has a longitudinally length which is variable by an “telescoping”-like action. • Patent number: 6546232
Abstract: A mobile telephone with a housing (1), a transmitter, at least one receiver, a call number memory, and keys (2) located on the housing. The keys (2) include at least one emergency key (5) which is rendered prominent in size and/or color relative to the other keys and which when activated causes dialing of an emergency number stored in the call number memory. Furthermore, at least two electrodes, and preferably four electrodes (6, 7, 8, 9) which enable reception of EKG signals are connected to the housing, an EKG signal converter being provided which evaluates the EKG signals, transforms them to a form suitable for transmission, and transmits them to the transmitter.
