  • Patent number: 5470023
Abstract: A crushing apparatus for waste material comprising a housing and a drive shaft for driving counter-rotating rollers which mesh with each other and which are hollow and open at one end. The rollers are fitted with cutter elements spaced at intervals around the outside and have cavities between the cutter elements that open into the hollow interior of the rollers.

  • Patent number: 4578835
Abstract: An operating part, essential to the starting-up or use of a power-operated device (1), e.g. driven by an engine or a pressure-medium, is made in the form of a tool-carrier (4). Permanently attached to the tool-carrier (4) is at least one tool, preferably a set of tools, specifically intended for the maintenance, cleaning, or the like of the device. However, the operating part constituting the tool-carrier (4) is arranged detachably upon a functional element (2,3) of the device (1). It is therefore scarcely possible for the tool to be lost after it has been used, since the device (1) only becomes serviceable again (i.e. may be driven or guided by the operator) after the operating part of the device (1) which has been removed, and which constitutes the tool-carrier (4), has been replaced.

  • Patent number: 4505163
Abstract: A hub (2) is rigidly torsionwise attached to a leading shaft (1) but free to move axially and radially. A rotary plate (3) is arranged on said hub (2) through a ball bearing (21) and carries a ring (4) provided with four conical transmission surfaces (30, 31). The transmission surfaces (30) of the ring (4) run on surfaces (33) of two rims (7, 8) of a wheel (6) integral with the casing, and the transmission surfaces (31) run on surfaces (34) of two rims (10, 11) of a second wheel (9) attached to the driven shaft (12) and coaxial with the wheel (6). The distance between the rims (7, 8 and 10, 11) is adjustable. When the driving shaft (1) rotates, the ring (4) effects a slow oscillation motion about the leading shaft (1) and transmits such motion to the wheel (9). The two transmission ranges are offset by 180.degree.. The eccentricity is adjustable between a maximum and zero, which allows the obtention of a reduction up to the infinite. A toothing may be provided in the transmission areas.

  • Patent number: 4088306
Abstract: A winch for coiling rope or wire having a rope or wire-supporting drum mounted for free rotation, an off-drive shaft mounted axially to the drum, a clutch for engaging the drum to the shaft, a driving motor, a driving shaft rotatable by the motor and a gear reduction between the drive shaft and the off-drive shaft comprising, a drive sprocket eccentrically mounted on the drive shaft and freely rotatable thereon, a holding arm which keeps the drive sprocket from rotating as the drive shaft rotates, an off-drive sprocket connected to the off-drive shaft and axially aligned with the drive shaft, and rotation transmission chains on the off-drive sprocket which are engageable with at least a part of the drive sprocket.

  • Patent number: 4010628
Abstract: Improved method and apparatus for of making a profiled body of at least one band of material which is profiled by a series of successive forming steps by means of pairs of rotating forming tools. At least one directrix is determined on the band for some of the forming steps coinciding with a marked longitudinal edge of the body and subdividing the band into a first and second band area. Swinging the first area about the directrix in a first direction and simultaneously swinging the second area about the directrix in opposite direction to said first direction in order to reduce tensile stress in one of the exterior edges of the bands at the cost of increasement of tensile stress in the other exterior edge.

  • Patent number: 3979808
Abstract: A method of continuously processing two bands of material into profiled rails, inserting insulating material adjacent their lateral longitudinal borders, and then connecting their lateral longitudinal borders through the insulating material. Initial corrugations are formed in each of the bands, and the bands are simultaneously passed between rotating pairs of forming rolls. The initial corrugations formed in the bands are increased so that the length of each enveloping line of each part of each band is longer than the enveloping line contemplated for the corresponding part. The longitudinal border of one of the rails is provided with projections, and the border of the other rail is provided with openings. Finally, the longitudinal border provided with projections is bent around the other longitudinal border, and its projections are forced through the strip of insulating material into the openings of the other longitudinal border.
