A joint element pivotably interconnects the coupling device and the grip part. The joint element movably supports an actuating member which is moved by rotation translationally between mounting and operating positions. In the operating position, the actuating member is pivotably mounted on the coupling device and is in engagement with the grip part. In the mounting position, the actuating member bears against a blocking surface of the coupling device that blocks rotation of the actuating member and is out of engagement with the grip part.

The mating coupling part at the end of one section of wiring projects out through the opening in the exterior panel of the door and is fitted into the coupling part of the handle before the handle is installed. When the handle is to be installed, a common structural unit is available, composed of the handle, the coupling part, and the mating coupling part.

A cover is movable between an initial position preventing access to the lock bolt, and an end position, allowing access to the lock bolt. In the unlocking position, the locking member prevents a reversing movement of the cover; in the locking position, it allows a reversing movement. In the end position the cover prevents access to and adjustment of the locking member, but in its initial position allows access and adjustment between the unlocking and locking positions.
