  • Patent number: 11940434
Abstract: A food processing device or food storage device (70), having: a chamber (72) for housing a foodstuff (42) to be processed or stored; and a nutrition/ingredient analysis system (30), having: an electromagnetic radiation source (32); a radiation guide (34) for guiding the electromagnetic radiation based on total internal reflection (attenuated total reflection, ATR), wherein the radiation guide comprises an input (36) coupled to the electromagnetic radiation source (32), an output (38), and a sensing surface (40) between the input and output for placing against a foodstuff to be analyzed, wherein the sensing surface (40) is for contact with the foodstuff (42); a detector (44) for detecting guided electromagnetic radiation at the output of the radiation guide; and a filter arrangement (46) for wavelength filtering the guided electromagnetic radiation reaching the detector, wherein the filter arrangement includes a plurality of optical bandpass filters (46a, 46b), and the plurality of filters are selectively mova

  • Publication number: 20220270279
Abstract: Methods and systems for sample imaging via two-pass light-field reconstruction. In an exemplary method, a light-field image of a sample may be captured in a light-field plane. The light-field image may be forward-projected computationally to each of a plurality of z-planes in object space to generate a set of forward-projected z-plane images. Backward-projections computationally to the light-field plane of the same xy-region in object space from each z-plane image may be compared with the light-field image, to determine a respective degree of correspondence between the backward-projected xy-region from each of the z-plane images and the light-field image. For each different xy-region, at least one of the forward-projected z-plane images may be selected to contribute data for the different xy-region in a 2D or 3D object-space image of the sample.

  • Patent number: 7124288
Abstract: A programmable unit includes a command execution unit for carrying out commands, a memory device for storing data required for command execution and data emitted from the command execution unit, and a buffer-storage device for buffer storing the data emitted from the command execution unit. The command execution unit writes to the buffer-storage device data to be transferred to the memory device. The data written to the buffer storage device is transferred to the memory device at a later time. The programmable unit is distinguished by forming the buffer-storage device as a stack, and/or by providing a control apparatus that, when required, causes data stored in the buffer-storage device to be moved temporarily to another memory device. Such a programmable unit can carry out any buffer storage of events that may possibly be required quickly and easily in all circumstances.

  • Patent number: 7117343
Abstract: A program-controlled unit has a plurality of instruction-execution units for simultaneously executing successive instructions of a program that is to be executed. The program-controlled unit allows the number of access operations to a program memory storing the program that is to be executed to be reduced. The program-controlled unit has an assignment device which operates such that only the instructions for those instruction-execution units which are actually required for the execution of the program are stored in the program memory in which the program to be executed by the program-controlled unit is stored. The program includes a sequence of instructions which can be executed simultaneously. The assignment device allocates instructions that can be executed simultaneously to desired instruction-execution units for simultaneous execution, independent of each instruction's position within the sequence.
