Abstract: The present invention provides a holding device for glasses for use in a dishwasher, having a base plate (1) with holding recesses (2) for receiving stems of glasses and which can be positioned by means of carrier rods (10) in a distance to a basket for dishes. The base plate (1) can be formed rectangularly, but preferentially circularly, especially preferred ring-shaped. The holding recesses are arranged on the outer rim of the base plate (1) and are not closed but are open to the circumferential rim of the base plate.
