  • Patent number: 10168301
Abstract: A method and a device for defect-size evaluation of defects in a test object in ultrasonic testing is provided. In particular, the method and device also allows systematic determination of defect sizes based on the SAFT method. This is done by simulating defects in a test object on the basis of a defined test scenario, and comparing these simulations with actually recorded measured values.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 7, 2014
Date of Patent: January 1, 2019
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT

  • Patent number: 7062349
Abstract: In a control equipment for an industrial sewing machine, it being possible, via switchgears such as switches, probes, sensors or the like, to switch on or off functions and connection states, by a certain voltage level being applied to an input circuit of the control, the input circuit generating an output signal, it is provided that upon the application of varying input voltages Ue, the output voltages Ua generated are the same in each case.

  • Patent number: 6908692
Abstract: An electrically conductive wire coated with a curable coating composition that forms a cured coating having a high partial discharge resitance and good mechanical properties. A process for coating an electrically conductive wire with a curable coating composition and curing the coating composition to form a coating having high partial discharge resistance and good mechanical properties.

  • Patent number: 6558488
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of making pourable, plastic-bound explosive charges or rocket propellants, to which a metal powder having essentially spherically shaped grains is added. To avoid an increase in the viscosity of the explosive charge or the rocket propellant through polar groups attached to the surface of the metal powder, it is suggested according to the invention that the polar groups of the metal powder be saturated with SiR3 groups (Si=silane; R=organic residue) before the metal powder is added to the explosive mixture. As a result, the polar groups can no longer react with the isocyanates of the explosive charge or the rocket propellant and the specific surface of the respective metal powder, as well as the viscosity of the charges, is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5670735
Abstract: An igniting system for a projectile propellant includes a combustible support tube having an outer surface and an inner surface; a plurality of throughgoing apertures provided in the support tube; a free igniting channel coaxially surrounded by the support tube; and an ignition transfer charge formed of a pyrotechnical hard foam layer having a thickness between 1 and 3 mm and being carried on the outer surface of the support tube. The hard foam layer is composed of a large-pore inner layer and two opposite surface layers which are of densely closed structure and between which the inner layer is sandwiched.
