  • Patent number: 11130642
Abstract: A device and a method for the separation of elongated parts (long parts) from bulk materials. The device comprises a conveying device (1), a deflecting device (2) and a rake with webs (4) being oriented longitudinally to the conveying direction. According to the method, the bulk material is transported on the conveying device (1), and then long parts (10) are oriented by means of a deflecting device (2) transversely to the conveying direction. After passing through the deflecting device (2), the transversely oriented long parts are transferred to the rake (4) and discharged as coarse materials (7). Compact parts (11) fall through this rake and thus end up in the fine material (6).

  • Publication number: 20150246361
Abstract: The method is characterized in that the fine-grained fractions are extracted by means of a gas flow at least at one point in the cinder shaft (4) using a fan blower (8) and a connected pipe (9). The extracted gas is conducted through separators (10, 11) and the fine-grained fractions are separated therein from the gas by means of chemical, mechanical or electrical treatment. The gas which has been freed of the fine-grained fractions is thereafter blown in the same volume back into the cinder shaft (4), such that the gas flow balance and the pressure conditions therein remain unchanged in the upper and lower regions. The device for this purpose consists of at least one pipe connection in the cinder shaft wall to an extraction pipe (9), the outgoing extraction pipe (9) being connected to a fan blower (8) and to at least one separating device, (10, 11) for extracting the fine-grained fractions from the gas.

  • Patent number: 7806042
Abstract: An apparatus for the preparation of hot beverages by brewing a water-extractable particulate substance includes a delivery pump (5), water heater (6), brewing area (36) and beverage outlet (7). The apparatus comprises a delivery member in the form of a screw shaft (10) provided with at least one flight (13) by means of which the particulate substance is delivered into and out of the brewing area (36) in one and the same direction. An extraction area (37) is provided downstream of the brewing area (36) in which the substance is compacted by the screw shaft (10) and thereby the essence of the substance extracted or the substance is additionally extracted. This is achieved by the pitch of the flights (13) in the region of the extraction zone (25) being smaller than in the region of the brewing zone (24).

  • Publication number: 20100175370
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a combustion fuel that differs from diesel or diesel cleavage products, in particular monoethylene glycol and/or methanol, for enriching exhaust gas in front of a particulate filter (19) of a diesel engine (11), in order to heat the exhaust gas by means of a catalytic oxidation of this combustion fuel to a temperature sufficient for a regeneration of the particulate filter (19). It also relates to the device that permits this use and to this end comprises a combustion fuel tank (25) and a combustion fuel line (27) connected to an exhaust gas train (17) of a diesel engine (11), the combustion fuel tank (25) of which is not the diesel tank (15) of the diesel engine. Furthermore, the invention can also comprise the diesel engine (11) and the tank (15) thereof, as well as the exhaust gas train (17) with the particulate filter (19).

  • Publication number: 20070104949
Abstract: A granulate that consists of broken pieces of a sintered body that is sintered from crushed blow-molded glass has a number of inclusions of at least one active substance on the broken surfaces of granulate. This active substance is embedded as a grain in sintered body. Upon contact with toxins, in particular with toxins that are suspended or dissolved in water, this active substance can interact with these toxins. Such a granulate can be produced very readily relative to active substance, compressive strength, specific weight, grain size, etc., and can be used correspondingly in a versatile manner. Despite arsenic- or antimony-containing starting substances, it can be used, for example, in the form of foam glass broken pieces as a construction material in environmentally-sensitive areas. It can be used, e.g., in the form of expanded or unexpanded sintered bodies in water purification.
