  • Patent number: 5353213
Abstract: A circuit configuration for a self-oscillating blocking-oscillator switched-mode power supply includes a transformer having a primary winding. A bridge rectifier has an output terminal. A semiconductor switch element is used for clocked application of an alternating voltage rectified by the bridge rectifier and unsmoothed to the primary winding. A control device has input terminals. The control device triggers the semiconductor switch element according to at least one primary current signal to be applied to one of the input terminals of the control device. A one-way rectifier configuration has an input side connected to the output terminal of the bridge rectifier and an output side connected through an RC element to the one input terminal of the control device.

  • Patent number: 5173777
Abstract: A circuit configuration for inset-image keying in a television set having only one tuner and a picture tube includes a control device connected to the tuner for switching the tuning frequency of the tuner between a first image signal of a first program for displaying a large image and a second image signal of a second program for displaying a small image to be keyed into the large image. A switchover device is connected to the tuner and the control device. A large-image signal route for the first image signal has a large-image memory device. A small-image signal route for the second image signal has a small-image memory device. The switchover device alternately supplies the first image signal to the large-image signal route or the second image signal to the small-image signal route. A device reads out and keys the small image into the large image on the picture tube.

  • Patent number: 5086382
Abstract: A circuit configuration for a controlled blocking oscillator converter switching power supply includes an electric switch having a duty cycle. A transformer has a primary winding connected in series with the electric switch in the loop of a direct voltage source for alternatingly turning on the switch in a first operating phase and turning off the switch in a second operating phase, and a secondary winding outputting an alternating voltage from which a direct voltage is obtained. An integratable trigger circuit is connected to the switch for pulse width modulated switching of the switch. The integratable trigger circuit has a controller for receiving an input voltage being at least approximately proportional to the alternating voltage, for comparing the input voltage with a set-point voltage, and for deriving a further voltage in the form of the voltage of a capacitor from the difference between the two voltages.

  • Patent number: 4984145
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for a free running blocking oscillator type switched power pack includes a control means for pulse width modulated drive of an electrical switch element. The control means receives as controlled information, among other things a zero axis crossing detector signal at one input post and a control voltage and a further input post that is dependent upon the output voltage of the switched power pack. To guarantee reliable operation yet yield low power consumption, particularly during the standby mode, it is proposed that a detector means with whose assistance an internal reference voltage is reduced during standby mode be provided in addition to a capacitive coupling of the two input posts. The result is that the undesirable rise in the output voltage in the standby mode and the further boost by the capacitive coupling of the input posts is effectively avoided.

  • Patent number: 4945463
Abstract: A switched power pack with a protective device for limiting output voltage such as in television receivers includes an avalanche-proof MOS transistor as the switching transistor in the switched power pack. The switched power pack is dimensioned so that a voltage safety margin of 10 through 20% is provided between the reliable continuous operation of the switched power pack and the destruction limit of the MOS transistor so that in the case of malfunction the output voltage of the switched power pack cannot rise to such an extent that the allowable high voltage level of the picture tube is exceeded and thereby emit dangerously high levels of x-radiation.

  • Patent number: 4277797
Abstract: A color television receiver has an automatic adjustment system. The receiver includes a digital control unit for controlling the vertical deflection and the horizontal deflection outputs. The digital control unit contains a line counter, a programmable read only memory and a logic circuit which controls the outputs of the receiver. A sensor system serves for the automatic adjustment, which sensor system is arranged in front of the picture tube and which transmits the rated magnitudes to the programmable read only memory by means of an adjustment computer.
