Abstract: The invention relates to certain new stilbene derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## in which R, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 have the below mentioned meaning, to a process for their preparation and to their use as arthropodicides, especially as insecticides and acaricides.

Abstract: A 3-phenoxy-fluorobenzyl alcohol of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.2 is hydrogen, cyano or ethynyl.The compounds can be esterified with pyrethroid-type carboxylic acids to give highly active insecticides.

Abstract: 3-Phenoxybenzyl alcohols and carboxylic acid esters thereof for combating pests of the formula ##STR1## in which R and R.sup.1 are different and each represent hydrogen, fluorine or bromine,R.sup.2 represents cyano or ethynyl andR.sup.3 represents the ##STR2## or the ##STR3## wherein the phenyl ring can optionally carry one or more substituents selected independently from halogen, alkyl, alkylthio and alkoxy with in each case 1 to 4 carbon atoms, nitro and methylenedioxy, andR.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are identical and each represent chlorine, bromine or methyl, andR.sup.2 represents hydrogen in case thatR.sup.3 represents the ##STR4## wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are identical and each represent chlorine or bromine andR.sup.3 represents the ##STR5## wherein the phenyl ring can carry the above mentioned substituents which possess insecticidal and acaricidal properties. The benzyl alcohols from which the esters are made are also new.

Abstract: O-Alkyl-O-[1-(2-cyanoalkyl)-5-halo-1,2,4-triazol(3)yl]-(thiono)(thiol)-phos phoric(phosphonic) acid esters and ester-amides of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms,R.sub.1 is phenyl or alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, monoalkylamino or dialkylamino with 1 to 6 carbon atoms per alkyl or alkoxy,R.sub.2 is hydrogen or alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms,Hal is halogen, andX is oxygen or sulfur,which possess insecticidal and acaricidal properties.

Abstract: 3-Phenoxy-fluoro-benzyl carboxylic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.2 is hydrogen, cyano or ethynyl,R.sup.3 is ##STR2## R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 represent chlorine, bromine or methyl, and R.sup.6 is phenyl or phenyl substituted with halogen, alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, nitro or methylenedioxy,which possess arthropodicidal properties. The alcohols are also new.

Abstract: 4,4,5,5-tetrachloro-2,2-dimethyl-spiropentane-1-carboxylic acid 3-phenoxy-benzyl esters of the formula ##STR1## in which R and R.sup.1 each independently is hydrogen or halogen, andR.sup.2 is hydrogen, cyano or ethynyl,which possess insecticidal and acaricidal properties.

Abstract: Fluorine substituted phenoxybenzylcarbonyl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, cyano or ethynyl andR.sup.2 represents the radical ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, which are identical, each represent chlorine, bromine or methyl, orR.sup.2 represents the radical ##STR3## wherein R.sup.5 represents a phenyl ring which optionally carries one or more substituents each selected independently from halogen, alkyl, alkylthio and alkoxy each with 1-4 carbon atoms, nitro and methylenedioxy,which possess arthropodicidal properties. The benzyl alcohol components of these esters are also new.

Abstract: O-Alkyl-O-[6-substituted pyridazin(3)yl]-thiono) (thiol)alkanephosphonic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## in which X and Y each independently is oxygen or sulfur,R.sub.1 is alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms,R.sub.2 is alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms,R.sub.3 is alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkynyloxy with 2 to 5 carbon atoms, alkylsulfonyloxy with 1 to 3 carbon atoms, monoalkylcarbamoyloxy with 1 to 3 carbon atoms, halogen, benzyloxy, benzoyloxy, phenoxy, or phenoxy carrying at least one substituent selected from halogen, nitro, cyano, --SO.sub.2 CH.sub.3, --SO.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Cl, and alkyl, halogenalkyl or alkylthio, each with up to 3 carbon atoms, andR.sub.4 is hydrogen or alkyl with 1 to 3 carbon atoms, which possess insecticidal , acaricidal, nematicidal and fungicidal properties.
