The connection assembly includes at least one rotation element mounted to the high lift body and mounted to the main wing rotatably about an axis of rotation. The high lift body includes a rigid portion and a flexible skin portion. The rigid portion is mounted to the rotation element. The flexible skin portion is connected to a leading edge portion of an upper skin panel of the main wing and is connected to the rigid portion of the high lift body The flexible skin portion is configured to be deformed between a stowed deformation state and a deployed deformation state, when the high lift body is moved between the stowed position and the deployed position.

  • Patent number: 10994830
Abstract: A flap actuating system for use in an aircraft comprises a carriage for supporting and guiding a flap which is engageable with and translationally movable along at least one linear bearing rail. A linear actuator of the flap actuating system has a linearly actuatable coupling element coupled to the carriage and a drive element configured to linearly actuate the coupling element in a direction substantially parallel to a movement direction of the carriage along the linear bearing rail. The drive element is arranged substantially parallel to the movement direction of the carriage along the linear bearing rail.

  • Publication number: 20190127047
Abstract: A carriage for supporting and guiding an aircraft flap translationally moveable along a linear slide bearing comprises a drive element connectable to an actuator for receiving a translational actuating force causing a translation of the carriage along the slide bearing. A flap support of the carriage is configured to, upon translational movement of the carriage, transmit the actuating force to the flap. The carriage further has a slide plate with at least two slide elements arranged on opposed sides of the slide plate which are engageable to at least two corresponding linear slide rails of the slide bearing.

  • Patent number: 7857263
Abstract: The invention proposes a landing flap guide for aircraft, in which the translatory landing flap (1) movement is realized with a glide slide (4) that is supported and guided in slideways of the landing flap carrier (3). The slide (4) is connected to the landing flap (1) and, in order to extend and retract the landing flap (1), guided along the flap carrier (3) by means of at least one glide guide (41, 42, 43, 44).

  • Patent number: 5230487
Abstract: A drive and guide mechanism for a flap such as a landing flap arranged in an aircraft wing, especially in the trailing edge of the wing includes a carriage to which the flap is pivoted. The carriage is movable along a support and guide rail. A drive arm and control system is operated by a drive mechanism (8) with a drive lever (9) which connects a drive rod (10) to the carriage. The kinematic drive mechanism (8) includes a control link (5), a two armed lever or control link (6), a control rod (7), and the drive rod (10). The two armed control link (6) is journalled to the carriage (4) in a tiltable manner. One arm of the two armed link (6) and the control link (5) connect the carriage with the flap (2). The one arm (6a) and the control link (5) form a four bar link with a section of the carriage and a section of the flap. The second arm (6b) of the control link (6) is connected with the drive lever (9) through a drive rod (10).
