  • Publication number: 20230208171
Abstract: An electrical device includes a control or regulating circuit and a plurality of electromechanical battery interfaces configured to supply the electrical device with a maximum permissible operating voltage using at least one exchangeable battery pack, which is releasably accommodated by the electromechanical battery interfaces. The electromechanical battery interfaces are configured such that exchangeable battery packs of at least two different voltage classes can be accommodated. The control or regulating circuit electrically connects several exchangeable battery packs of a lower voltage class in series and/or in parallel such that a resulting battery voltage does not exceed the maximum permissible supply voltage.

  • Patent number: 9820445
Abstract: The present invention relates to cutting tools, in particular, to control systems for cutters such as vegetation cutters, especially hedge cutters or trimmers (10). Hedge cutters (10) frequently suffer in use from a problem of blocked cutting blades when they encounter a twig or branch whose size or density exceeds the capacity of the blades. We describe a vegetation cutting apparatus (10) having a plurality of cutting blades (11,12), at least one of which blades (11,12) is drivable by an electric motor. At least one driven blade (11,12) is movable between two predefined points of maximum travel. The apparatus (10) includes a control mechanism which causes a change of direction in the movement of the at least one movable blade at a point intermediate the points of maximum travel in response to an event sensed by the control mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9728994
Abstract: A device for determining the charge state of an accumulator and having a charging current supply unit that can be operated in a plurality of charging modes is provided. When the storage charge mode is activated, the accumulator is charged only up to a predefined, optimized partially charged state. • Patent number: 8922164
Abstract: An equipment system includes a battery unit (10) having a monitoring circuit (14), which detects at least one operating parameter of the battery unit (10) and furnishes a control signal, dependent on the operating parameter, for switching means (25, 31). The switching means control the charging and discharging process of the battery unit (10) and are located in the electrical device (20) and in the charger (30), respectively. From the battery unit (10), the control signal is transmitted to the switching means (25, 31) in the electrical device (20) and in the charger (30), respectively. By this provision of shifting the switching means (25, 31) out of the battery unit (10) into the electrical device (20) and into the charger (30), respectively, the heat development in the battery unit (10) and also its structure size are reduced.
