  • Publication number: 20090160223
Abstract: A sunroof system for a motor vehicle includes two guide rails at least approximately parallel to one another and a slide in each guide rail. The slide is displaceable in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A front opening mechanism and a rear opening mechanism are assigned to a front edge and a rear edge, respectively, of a cover of the sunroof system. The front opening mechanism has a transmission lever and the rear opening mechanism has an opening lever. The slide, when displaced rearwards along the guide rail, is first coupled to the rear opening mechanism and then to the front opening mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7490438
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle door, consisting of an interior sheet metal and an exterior sheeting, together which form a hollow interior space of the door, having an opening in the interior sheet metal and having a carrier module that closes said opening, and carries at least one functional part of the motor vehicle door, such as a hinge part, lock part or window lifter part. In order to simplify the assembly of a motor vehicle door it is proposed that the vehicle door (10) features, apart from the opening (18) in the interior sheet metal (12) which may be closed by means of a carrier module, an additional access opening (22) adequately large for inserting the carrier module, including the at least one functional part, into the interior space (16) of the door and that the carrier module consists of a base plate (20) which closes the opening (18) of the interior sheet metal (12) from the side of the hollow interior space (16) of the door.

  • Patent number: 7255392
Abstract: A guiding system for a moveable sunroof system includes at least one first guide rail for a first vehicular component and at least one second guide rail for a second vehicular component. The first and second guide rails are connected with each other and are tailored to their unique load requirements by employing materials having different properties. Further, the guide rails can be modified independently from one another. If, for instance, the geometry of the second guide rail has requires modification, it is not necessary to modify the entire guiding system. Instead, it is sufficient to modify only the second guide rail to the new requirements. Therefore, portions of the guide rail system may easily be replaced.

  • Publication number: 20070114817
Abstract: The invention relates to a raising mechanism for a sliding roof, comprising a guide rail, a pair of levers, and a carriage. Each lever has a guide rail side end and a cover side end, and the levers are pivotally coupled with each other through a joining axle. During traversing movement, the carriage exerts a vertical force on the joining axle and lifts the joining axle, in order to thereby move the pair of levers to a raised position. The invention further relates to a vehicle roof with such a raising mechanism.
