  • Patent number: 7238749
Abstract: A two-component mortar composition is described with a curable resin component containing at least one free radical-polymerizable resin, fillers, reactive diluents, solvents, accelerators and/or further conventional mortar components and, separated therefrom to inhibit reaction, a curing agent component for chemically fastening anchoring means in boreholes, characterized in that the resin component, in order to improve the adhesion to different mineral substrates of the borehole, contains a reactive diluent mixture of at least one hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate and at least one acetoacetoxyalkyl (meth)acrylate. Furthermore, the use of the two-component mortar composition for chemically fastening anchoring means in boreholes of different mineral substrates is also described.

  • Patent number: 6989424
Abstract: A curing agent component is described for an at least two-component mortar composition for the chemical fastening technique, containing at least one free radical-forming agent as curing agent for an organic resin component, water and at least one water-soluble, ethylenically unsaturated polyethylene glycol derivative, which can be copolymerized with the organic resin component and has a solubility in water at 25° C. of at least 10 g in 100 gram of water and has the structure given by the general formula I: R2—A—O—R1??(I) in which R1 represents a group having the formula CH2?CH—CH2—, CH2?CH—CO—O— or CH2?C(CH3)—CO—O—, R2 represents hydrogen, an alkyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a sulfonate group or a group having the formula CH2?CH—CH2—, CH2?CH—CO—O— or CH2?C(CH3)—CO—O—, and A represents a linear or branched, homopolymeric or copolymeric, optionally substituted polyoxyalkylene group.

  • Publication number: 20050097850
Abstract: A method is described for fastening anchoring means, especially anchor rods, reinforcing iron, etc. in solid substrates by introducing a curable mortar composition and the anchoring means into a borehole provided in the solid substrate and curing the mortar composition, the curing of the mortar composition being initiated or brought about by introducing microwave energy over the anchoring means into the borehole. Furthermore, a device is described for carrying out this method, the device having an adapter unit (1), which can be connected over a coaxial cable or a waveguide (2) with the microwave generator, and a collet chuck (3), for frictionally fixing the adapter unit to the anchoring means (4) and for passing microwave energy into the mortar composition (7) present in the borehole (5) of the solid substrate (6), and a shielding (8), surrounding the collet chuck (3).

  • Publication number: 20030181546
Abstract: The invention is accomplished with a curable composition, which contains a resin component A with a subsidiary component a, a resin, which can be polymerized by free radicals, and a curing agent component B with a subsidiary component b, a peroxide curing agent. Before use of the curable composition, the components A and B are kept spatially separated and curing takes place only after components A and B have been mixed. To improve such curable compositions, it is proposed that a subsidiary component c, the leuco form of a dye, especially of a triphenylmethane dye, be added to component A. By following such a procedure, it is achieved that the peroxide activity and the progress of the mixing are monitored simultaneously without delaying the curing of the composition.
