  • Patent number: 9067573
Abstract: To operate an electrically controlled pressurized-fluid brake system, an external brake request signal is received, a curve radius of a vehicle track of the vehicle is determined, at least one limit value is determined based on the curve radius, at least one variable representing a brake pressure to be supplied to wheel brakes is compared with the at least one limit value, the at least one variable is limited based on the comparison, the at least one variable is outputted, and braking pressure is supplied to the wheel brakes based on the outputted at least one variable.

  • Patent number: 8140237
Abstract: A method and system for determining a brake pressure which is predefined by a vehicle control system involve effecting a vehicle braking process initiated by an electronic braking system and/or the vehicle driver, determining a vehicle deceleration a, and a brake pressure pestim, comparing the brake pressure pestim against a reference pressure pB, terminating the braking process triggered by the electronic braking system when pestim is less than the reference pressure pB, or continuing the braking process triggered by the electronic braking system when pestim is greater than or equal to the reference pressure pB.

Date of Patent: March 20, 2012
    Assignee: WABCO GmbH

  • Patent number: 6151545
Abstract: A signal (S) has a value at every point in time. The values may change in time and may lie within or outside a predetermined basic value range (BVMIN, BVMAX). The signal (S) is processed so that control steps associated with the values of the signal (S) are carried out when certain values of the signal (S) occur outside the basic value range (BVMIN, BVMAX). It may then occur that the carrying out of the control steps may be triggered in an undesirable manner because of implausible values of the signal (S). Such an implausible signal behavior must be recognized rapidly and the undesirable effects of the implausible signal behavior must be decreased or totally prevented at an early moment. For this purpose a value of the signal (S) occurring with relative frequency is determined as a dominant value (DV) as well as a frequency value (FV), which indicates frequency of occurrence of values of the signal (S) situated in the vicinity of the dominant value (DV).
