  • Patent number: 6897625
Abstract: A conveyor system for transported goods which are transported with a preset transport speed and method for operating the conveyor system are described. The individual conveyers of the system are driven by asynchronous motors. Sensors associated with the conveyors measure the actual transport speed of the transported goods on conveyors to determine the dependence of the actual transport speed on the load, such as the weight of the transported goods. A controller adjusts the speed of the conveyors based on the signals received from the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20050065642
Abstract: A transport system, in particular an airport luggage transport system and a controller for the transport system are described. The transport system transports items to a predetermined destination on predefined transport routes via several branching locations. A master controller sets for each transported item a destination and a transport route, which are processed by one or more slave controllers. Each transported item is given an identification number that is identified by the slave controller. The master controller provides to the slave controller the destination associated with each identification number and associates with each destination at the branching locations a forwarding direction. Forwarding is processed by the slave controller without an interrogation of the master controller, based on the preset association at the branching locations.

  • Patent number: 6497099
Abstract: A method for controlling a steam turbine with a steam bleed for various operational tasks is provided. The operational tasks are each characterized by the type of the controlled variables used for controlling the steam turbine. A control structure is used for deriving actuating signals for actuating elements for valves. The actuating signals are derived from control signals of the regulators which are used. Only a single control structure is used for all the operational tasks. As a result, the configuration of the control is simplified, the control signals are decoupled, and a smooth changeover between the operational tasks is achieved. A device for controlling a steam turbine is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6480750
Abstract: A controlling system having a controller which acts on a controlled system as a function of a manipulated variable and a number of controller parameters is intended to provide a given control quality and a given control response in all operating states of the controlled system. For this purpose, the response characteristic of the controlled system is determined in a given time window during operation of the controller by comparing a wavelet transformation of the temporal response of the manipulated variable with a wavelet transformation of the temporal response of a controlled variable of the controller. An instant assigned to the respective wavelet transformation is detected, and the or each controller parameter is set as a function of the response characteristic.
