  • Publication number: 20100236879
Abstract: In the method a drive tool (1) is inserted through an opening (3), closed by a membrane (2), of the housing (4) of the control drive (5) of the parking brake into the housing (4) and is placed in a receiving part (6). The receiving part (6) is connected to the transmission (7) in a rotatable manner. Subsequently, the transmission (7) is set in a rotary motion with the drive tool (1) via the receiving part (6) to release the parking brake.

  • Patent number: 6739521
Abstract: A shield cleaning system, operating solely by spraying with washing fluid, for shields (2) of an automobile light has a plurality of washing nozzles (12-14) which are arranged on a washing arm (6) pivotable about a pivot axis (7) and which are located opposite and at a short distance from the shield (2) and together spray a part region of the shield (2) with washing fluid. The washing nozzles (12-14) are guided by the washing arm (6) over that region of the shield (2) which is to be cleaned.

  • Patent number: 6692144
Abstract: A method and measuring device intended for a window-cleaning system of a motor vehicle, wherein the freezing temperature is determined by continuous cooling of a representative partial volume of the liquid inside a chamber. For this purpose, measurements are made of the temperature while the liquid is cooled, which first drops in accordance with the heat dissipation until the start of the phase change initiating the freezing, and in the process leads the heat of solidification released to a temporary temperature plateau. The freezing temperature can be reliably determined in this way for each chemical composition of the liquid.

  • Patent number: 6616425
Abstract: A feed device (1) for washer fluid, wherein an electric motor (3) which is provided for driving a feed pump (4) has a housing (6) which is sealed in the upper region and an opening (11) which is arranged in the lower region level with the feed pump (4). Ventilation of the electric motor (3) takes place via this opening (11). In the event of a water level reaching the electric motor (3), for example if the motor vehicle passes through water, an air bubble is formed in the housing (6), the air bubble preventing water from penetrating into the electric motor (3).

  • Patent number: 6588270
Abstract: Filling level indicators for washer fluid containers in motor vehicles have hitherto been arranged directly on the washer fluid container or been integrated in the instrument cluster on the motor vehicle. Despite the available information, the filling of the container when the level is too low is often delayed. A filling level indicator more effectively indicates the filling level by arranging the filling level indicator in the region of the tank filler neck, whereby the filling level in the washer fluid container is only indicated to the driver when he has in any case interrupted his journey in order to fill up with fuel and is free from other activities, so that it is virtually impossible for him to be distracted.

  • Patent number: 6257500
Abstract: A window and lens glass cleaning system for a motor vehicle has a constructional unit comprising a washer fluid container (1), a plurality of control units (7-9) and an evaluating device (12) of a fluid-level sensor (12a). This enables all of the essential components of the window and lens glass cleaning system to be preassembled and tested outside the motor vehicle. The window and lens glass cleaning system can then be installed in a particularly simple manner in the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6234410
Abstract: A cleaning device for a motor vehicle headlight lens, a washer nozzle (6) is arranged on a support (11) having tubes (12, 13) which can be moved in the manner of a telescope. An outer tube (12) of the support (11) can be moved by an adjusting arrangement (5) having an electric motor (19). A connecting branch (16) for a washer fluid line (9) is latched to a fixed guide sleeve (14). As a result, the cleaning device is of particularly compact construction.
