  • Patent number: 8256752
Abstract: A machine tool is provided for processing a workpiece, e.g., a metal sheet. The machine tool comprises at least one support configured to, in a support position, support a part of the workpiece on an upper surface, the part being completely separated from the workpiece, and a motion unit for moving the support downwards out of the support position into a discharge position located underneath the support. The motion unit is configured to accelerate the support, at least in a region of the part lying thereon, out of the support position along a gravitational direction with an acceleration which is greater than an acceleration of the part in the gravitational direction, and to move the accelerated support into an open position located outside a path of movement of the part at a speed such that the workpiece part attains the discharge position in free fall.

  • Patent number: 5900638
Abstract: In a radiation protection arrangement for an x-ray diagnostics installation, at least one x-ray impenetrable strap is pivotably seated at a carrier, this being movable along a guide rail via the carrier. A brake arrangement for the carrier is provided which at least impedes movement of the carrier along the guide rail when the component of the installation on which the radiation protection arrangement is carried is adjusted in position. At least two x-ray impenetrable straps can be provided, each being pivotably seated at a carrier, whereby a formed part is provided in the region of the carrier which effects a diversion of each strap during pivoting. Each strap can be capable of being folded over and fixed in the folded-over condition, so that an opening to the examination region is produced.

  • Patent number: 5585608
Abstract: A gripping member of an operating handle is adjustable via a holder around a rotational axis aligned substantially perpendicularly relative to its longitudinal axis, with the rotational axis being in the middle region of the gripping member. In a further version, the gripping member is adjustable via a holder around a swiveling axis that intersects an axis aligned substantially perpendicularly relative to the longitudinal axis of the gripping member with the rotational axis lying in the middle of the gripping member. Finger operated switches are located on the gripping member and various pressure sensors are activated dependent upon the movement of the gripping member and its holder about relevant axes.
