In addition, the wireless tracker is configured to determine a current location of the wireless tracker device at one or more intervals such that the one or more intervals are based on a delivery route of the shipment. Moreover, the wireless tracker is configured to receive and verify one or more codes to for a chain of custody of the shipment. Also, the wireless tracker is configured to determine a trigger event based on the location of the wireless tracker device and/or sensor information as well as send a notification to a computer server based on the trigger event.
