  • Publication number: 20240124053
Abstract: An electrohydraulic power steering device for a vehicle includes a hydraulic pump, a drive, a first working line, a second working line, and a heat exchanger. The hydraulic pump is designed, in a first rotation direction, to pump a hydraulic oil to a first pump output of the hydraulic pump and, in a second rotation direction, to pump said oil to a second pump output of the hydraulic pump. The drive is coupled to the hydraulic pump and is designed to drive the hydraulic pump selectively in the first rotation direction or second rotation direction. The first working line is shaped to connect the first pump output fluidically to a first working chamber, the first working chamber being suitable for moving a piston, which is couplable to a steering bar of a steering system, in a first direction. The heat exchanger is designed to transfer heat that is generated during operation of the drive to at least one of the working lines in order to heat the hydraulic oil flowing through the working line.

  • Patent number: 8825443
Abstract: A method calculates a remaining range and/or consumption of a motor vehicle with an energy storage system for a drive which acts on at least one wheel of the motor vehicle. The remaining range and/or the consumption can be calculated in a first fashion by using a first algorithm and in a second fashion by using a second algorithm. The second fashion requires a higher degree of expenditure on calculation than the first fashion. Switching over between the first fashion and the second fashion occurs as a function of the energy stored in the energy storage system.

  • Patent number: 8798845
Abstract: A method automatically determines a boundary of a partial area of a map, the partial area indicating the remaining range of a motor vehicle. The total area is divided into a matrix of rectangular area segments, with which a connected subset of the partial area is associated. Initially starting from a region of the total area not belonging to the partial area, a boundary area segment of the partial area is located and a first point describing the position of the boundary area segment is entered into a list of points, following which the process proceeds along the edge of the partial area and a point describing the position of the boundary area segment is entered into the list for each further boundary area segment located, until the boundary area segment corresponding to the first point is reached again. The boundary is determined from the list of points.

  • Patent number: 8688364
Abstract: A method determines a partial area of a map which is described by features, the partial area describing the remaining range of a motor vehicle. An energy-storage system supplies a drive system which acts on at least one wheel of the motor vehicle. The remaining range is determined as a function of energy stored in the energy-storage system using an algorithm which expands from a current position of the motor vehicle. The method uses divides the map into geometric, in particular rectangular, structures of equal size. Whenever, in the context of the expansion, a feature lying in a structure or corresponding to a structure is added, the structure is added to the partial area.
