Abstract: The invention relates to a wind deflector (1) for motor vehicles, comprising a base element (2) that can be attached to part of the vehicle, an extension element (3), which is mounted so that it can pivot in relation to the base element, a displacement device (7) for pivoting the extension element (3) between a stored position and an extended position and at least one screening device (5, 6), which is provided at least in sections between the base element (2) and the extension element (3) and consists of a pliable material.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wind deflector (1) in the motor vehicle sector, with a base element (2) which can be mounted on a part of a motor vehicle, with an opener (3) which is pivotally coupled to the base element (2), with an adjusting device (4) for pivoting the opener (3) between a stowed position and an opened-out position, and with a deflector element (5) which can be mounted on the base element (2) and on the opener (3) for the purpose of clamping the deflector element (5) therebetween when the opener (3) is in the opened-out position, wherein the deflector element (5) can be fastened to the base element (2) and/or to the opener (3) by means of a detachable connection.

Abstract: A motor vehicle roof with two covers which are arranged in succession and roughly at the height of the roof contour in the closed position. At least part of the front cover is displaced to the rear above the rear cover into the open position for clearing a front roof opening section, and in this open position, the front cover is supported by laterally arranged support levers, each of which are coupled to the rear area of the front cover and are guided in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle in a guide rail located below the roof contour. The guide rail extends laterally outward of the side edge of the roof opening and in the open position the rear cover is lowered below the roof contour and the support lever extends through a gap which is formed as a result of lowering of the rear cover.

Abstract: A guide rail assembly for guiding drive elements and guide elements of an openable roof part of a motor vehicle, the guide rail assembly including a guide rail of metal with a cut edge on an end of the guide rail, and a protective cap on the end of the guide rail. The protective cap covers the cut edge of the end and has an inside wall which flushes aligns with an inside wall of the guide rail to thereby provide a flush and continuous surface. The protective cap is preferably made of plastic and plugged onto the end of the guide rail. The protective cap preferably includes a locking mechanism and an inwardly pointing face. The protective cap also includes insertion bevels which extends to an outwardly pointing face the protective cap and may further include an integrally molded a centering journal. In another embodiment, the guide rail may also include a lengthwise crosspiece, and the protective cap includes a corresponding extension.
