  • Publication number: 20100108800
Abstract: An object detection system has an image detection system with an imaging detector, a position detection system with a position detector, and optics which guide incident radiation onto both detectors. The two detectors are arranged one behind the other, in particular adjacent to one another, in the beam path. This makes it possible to achieve a simple, compact and reliable object detection system.

  • Patent number: 7219007
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for starting or stopping a motor-driven motor vehicle having motor functions (1) and motor-independent vehicle functions (5) which can be used independently of the type of drive and independently of the type of motor start or motor stop. For a start operation or a stop operation, at least one command to the motor functions (1) to start or stop the motor (15) of the motor vehicle is imparted by the vehicle functions (5) via an interface (10). At least one status datum as to the motor (15) and/or the motor functions (1) is transmitted by the motor functions (1) via the interface (10) to the vehicle functions.

  • Patent number: 6886530
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for operating a drive motor of a vehicle are suggested. A resulting desired torque for controlling the drive motor is pregiven in dependence upon the driver command torque and additional desired torque quantities. To limit the resulting desired torque, a motor minimum torque is provided which is derived from the lost torques and is dependent upon rpm.

  • Patent number: 6883493
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for operating a drive unit of a vehicle are suggested. Starting from a driver command torque which is converted into a resulting desired torque while considering additional torques, a correction of the resulting desired torque is undertaken in dependence upon the loss torques, which are not available for the drive. For realizing a negative torque command of the driver, the driver command torque is corrected with the loss torque weighted in dependence upon accelerator pedal position and rpm.

  • Patent number: 6865459
Abstract: An electronic system for a vehicle includes first components for carrying out control tasks in response to operating sequences and second components that coordinate a cooperation of the components for carrying out control tasks. The first components carry out the control tasks by using operating functions and basis functions, wherein the system is constructed such that the basis functions are combined in a basis layer, and a system layer is superimposed on the basis functions, which includes at least two of the second components. At least one open interface of the system layer is provided for the operating functions, and the system layer links the basis functions to any and all operating functions, such that the operating functions can be interconnected and/or used in a modular fashion.

  • Patent number: 6842686
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for controlling the drive unit of a vehicle are suggested. In a first step, input quantities, which are independent of the drive unit, are applied to form a first input quantity. In a second step, a second input quantity is formed from at least this first input quantity and at least one engine-specific input quantity, the second input quantity influencing at least an actuating quantity of the drive unit. In addition, an interface is described between the engine-independent part and the engine-specific part of the engine control.

  • Patent number: 6728622
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling a drive unit (1) of a motor vehicle. The method and arrangement reduce the lost motion of an operator-controlled element (5), which is actuable by the driver, up to an increase of the road speed of the vehicle beyond the road speed pregiven by the road speed controller (10). The degree of actuation (F) of the operator-controlled element (5) is detected and a desired value (S) for the torque of the drive unit (1) is formed from this degree of actuation (F). The desired value (S) for the torque is compared to a pregiven value (V) for the torque requested just then by the road speed controller (10). The torque of the drive unit (1) can only then approach the desired value (S) via control of the drive unit (1) when the desired value (S) exceeds the input value (V).

  • Patent number: 6675078
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for controlling a motor vehicle having an integrated electric machine which generates electric as well as mechanical power. In the context of a hierarchal control structure having several logic components, the electric machine is allocated as a component “electric drive” to the component “drive” with respect to its function for generating mechanical power and as a component “generator” to the component “vehicle electric drive” with respect to its function for generating electric power.
