  • Publication number: 20170113077
Abstract: The invention relates to an application device for a two-component spray foam for fire protection purposes comprising a first pressurized can with a component A containing a polyisocyanate and a first propellant gas component, a second pressurized can with a component B, containing at least one flameproofing agent in fine-particle form suspended in a polyol component, and a second propellant gas component, a retaining fixture for the first and second pressurized can, with said fixture being provided with a valve receptacle for each of the pressurize cans, a discharging aid for the spray foam, said discharging aid being connected via hose lines to the valve receptacles for the pressurized cans, and a forced mixer that mixes component A with component B when the discharging aid is activated.

  • Publication number: 20070270518
Abstract: The invention relates to phase-stable prepolymer compositions, in particular for producing polyurethane foams, said prepolymer composition containing polyurethane prepolymers obtained through a reaction of a first prepolymer component which contains polyester polyols with at least two hydroxy groups and non-polar constituents, and a second prepolymer component containing polyisocyanates having at least two isocyanate groups, said polyester polyols being transesterification products consisting of vegetable oils, polyethylene terephthalate and polyols. Said prepolymer component becomes more strongly hydrophobic by the use of polyester polyols that have been produced in this manner, permitting the use of chlorinated paraffins in higher concentration as flame retardant and softener, without segregation occurring.

  • Publication number: 20010049454
Abstract: The invention relates to a prepolymer composition, in particular for producing insulating foams, based on a polyisocyanate with a functionality of at least 2 and a polyol with at least two OH groups in the molecule, the prepolymer having an isocy-anate content of 6 to 20 wt % and the composition containing usual additives and a propellant gas component which is liquid under pressure, and the prepolymer com-position containing at least 18 wt % of propellant gas based on the weight of the composition, said propellant gas component being present in the form of a propellant phase emulsified in the prepolymer composition alongside the moiety dissolved in the prepolymer composition.
