  • Patent number: 7114955
Abstract: In order to simplify the construction and to reduce the size of a contact arrangement (1) comprising at least one outer contact piece (3) and at least one inner contact piece (5) which are guided towards each other such that they can be displaced in a longitudinal manner, also comprising a roller-type contact (2) provided with contact rollers (7), arranged for electrically conductive connection between the inner contact piece (5) and the outer contact piece (3), the or at least one outer contact piece (3) comprises a recess (4) with a concave cross-sectional defining wall, wherein the rolling contact is at least partially arranged (2) for the transfer of current. The invention also relates to a roller-type contact (2) for one such contact arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20030057074
Abstract: The invention relates to a contact arrangement for a grounding switch in switchgears which are used for supplying and distributing power, especially for a fault initiating switch in medium-voltage switchgears, with two contact members which can move in relation to one another and of which first contact members are provided as blade contacts and other contact members are provided as adjacent gripping contacts that are composed of U-shaped contact lamellae. During contacting, said gripping contacts are connected in an electrically conductive manner to the outer contours of the blade contacts. The blade contact is formed by a contact rod (KS) preferably having a round cross-sectional contour and is delimited on both ends by a guide pin (FB) which protrudes beyond the cross-sectional contour and which is provided with a guiding groove (FN).

  • Patent number: 6501572
Abstract: Singe-pole or multipole, metal-encapsulated, compartmentalized or gas-insulated switchpanels of a switching station, which are connected by three-position switches, having isolating and grounding functions, to power switches designed with or without vacuum switching tubes, the switchpanels each being arranged in busbar housings or separate isolating housings, and being equipped with transmission devices for the visual observation of fixed contacts are provided. The transmission device includes a camera module which can be connected via a connecting device to a display device outside of the switchpanel. A lighting device is arranged in a displaced manner relative to a camera module for glare-free imaging of the busbar fixed contacts.

  • Patent number: 6129554
Abstract: An electrical coupling device for connecting separable connecting leads between at least two switchrooms is in particular for medium voltage switchgears, the connecting leads being passed through container walls and surrounded, in each case, by a rotationally symmetrical insulating body, the insulating bodies being surrounded by an insulating collar that is common to both, the connecting leads being connected by a contact device in an electrically conductive manner. Lead-in pins are provided on front-form sides with a multi-contact which acts as an annular contact body for receiving a contact pin. The contact pin is configured in one piece and is also spherical in the area of the multi-contact. The contact pin is surrounded by a sleeve, which in the longitudinal middle area of the contact pin is configured so as to curve inward and is connected to the sleeve in an electrically conductive manner.

  • Patent number: 5185497
Abstract: A single-pole gas-insulated line duct has a enclosing tube and an inner conductor held centered in place in the enclosing tube by support insulators. Electrode bodies embedded in arms of the support insulators engage either in a slot between flanges of sections of the enclosing tube or lie against the inside wall of the sections with a spring-action contact member. Locking members connect the support insulators and sections of the inner conductor. Coupling members can be introduced into abutting sections of the inner conductor and demonstrate mutli-surface sliding contact elements.

  • Patent number: 4523253
Abstract: An encapsulated medium-voltage electrical load switching apparatus has four, three-position rotary switches, supported by pairs of opposing insulated half-shells, two-over-two in parallel alignment within a gas-filled sealed shut shell housing. The housing front and back have dome-shaped protrusions to maintain the seal against fluctuations in gas pressure. Bushings in the floor and ceiling of the housing, aligned with the switch face plane, provide gastight connections between the switches and external cables, enclosed fuses and transformer terminals. Switch control is provided by drives mounted on a plate at the front of the housing exterior which operate actuator arms that extend in a gastight way through the housing front and manipulate selector shafts that connect to set the switches into closed-circuited, open-circuited and grounded positions.

  • Patent number: 4507641
Abstract: A three-position electrical driving mechanism having a jump-drive sub-assembly, a pivotable actuator and associated spring arrangement for storing energy, a detent arrangement and associated latches for holding the detents in place, a release arrangement for disengaging the detents from the latches, and a storage drive sub-assembly which is operable in response to a blown fuse or an open circuit trip. This switch requires the operator to perform the same switching operation each time the switch is utilized, and therefore errors that occur when an operator must perform several different operations are avoided.
