  • Patent number: 7828799
Abstract: The disclosure provides a probe arrangement having a distal probe tip and a proximal hand portion for the electrothermal coagulation of tissue. The probe arrangement has at least a first and a second electrode in the region of the distal probe tip. An inner conductor of the probe arrangement extends from the distal probe tip to the proximal hand portion and contacts the first electrode in the distal probe tip. An outer conductor of the probe arrangement extends from the distal probe tip to the proximal hand portion and serves to electrically contact the second electrode in the distal probe tip. The inner and outer conductors of the probe arrangement are electrically insulated from each other. Furthermore the inner conductor is selected in such a way that the flexural stiffness of the probe arrangement is increased between the probe tip and the hand portion.

  • Publication number: 20090306656
Abstract: The application arrangement according to the invention for applying a high frequency current for thermal sclerosing of body tissue, includes: an electrode needle 1 having an electrically conducting shaft 3, at least one insulating casing body 7 which surrounds the electrically conducting shaft 3 and which is displaceable relative to the shaft 3 and which has a distal end from which the shaft 3 can be extended, and at least one trocar 5 having a portion intended to be introduced into body tissue, a portion 11 intended to remain outside the body tissue, and a lumen 13 which extends through both portions and through which the shaft 3 of the electrode needle 1 is to be passed through the trocar 5.

  • Publication number: 20050283215
Abstract: The electrode needle according to the invention has a shaft 4 and at least one active electrode 7 and is distinguished in that the shaft 4 includes a nuclear magnetic resonance-active marker element 15 spatially associated with the active electrode 7. The nuclear magnetic resonance-active marker element can contain ferromagnetic material such as for example iron, cobalt, nickel or steel.

  • Patent number: 5980666
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a laminated glass window equipped with sealing at one or more edges, wherein the laminated glass window contains at least two glass sheets and laminated plastic placed between the two glass sheets, wherein the laminated plastic is made of at least one principal carrier sheet, having on at least one side at least one layer that reflects infrared radiation and outer layers made of one or more thermoplastic polymers; the process involving:a) forming a plate from the laminated plastic, the plate having a geometrical shape substantially the same as the glass sheets, but wherein the plate is shorter, by an offset distance, on each of one or more edges to be sealed;b) preparing a preliminary laminated sheet by positioning the plate in relation to the glass sheets while respecting the offset distance on each of the one or more edges to be sealed and removing air from between the layers formed by the glass sheets and the plate;c) filling the interstice of the one or more edges to be sealed

  • Patent number: 4841557
Abstract: An x-radiator has heat-producing components therein which are enclosed in a housing filled with an insulating fluid surrounding the components. A circulating pump is in fluid communication with the interior of the housing and has respective ports through which the fluid is circulated through the pump between the ports for aiding in dissipating heat from the components. The pump may be integrated within the housing, or attached to an exterior of the housing, with only its ports being in communication with the housing interior. The pump may be a squirrel-cage induction motor with a fluid conveying element, such as a ship's propellor forming a unit with the rotor and being arranged in a protective housing together with the stator.
