  • Patent number: 4687514
Abstract: There is described a process for the recovery of noble metals from dilute aqueous or non-aqueous solution which contain salts of non-noble metals and/or difficulty volatile inorganic or organic compounds, which is generally usable, simple to carry out and supplies high yields of noble metals. There is added to the noble metal solution elemental tellurium or a reducible tellurium compound at a temperature of 100.degree. to 250.degree. C. and the precipitate formed worked up in known manner.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 9, 1983
Date of Patent: August 18, 1987
    Assignee: Degussa Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hermann Renner, Karlheinz Kleiss, Rainer Schlodder
  • Patent number: 4571265
Abstract: There is described a process for the separation and purification of the platinum group metals from base metal out of acidic aqueous solutions. For this purpose there is used a substituted thiourea of the formulaR.sub.1 R.sub.2 N--CS--NH--CO--R.sub.3orR.sub.1 R.sub.2 N--CS--NH--COOR.sub.3as the precipitation agent. Preferably there are employed N,N-diaklyl-N'-benzoylthiourea wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are methyl, n-butyl, or n-hexyl.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 2, 1984
Date of Patent: February 18, 1986
    Assignee: Degussa Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Karl-Heinz Konig, Michael Schuster, Dieter Hollmann, Rainer Schlodder
