  • Patent number: 10876224
Abstract: A device and method for spreading a fibre bundle spread, the fibre bundle being from a fibre bundle supply to a fibre take-up by way of a resistance device, having a first impulse drive that interacts with the resistance device, the fibre take-up being disposed downstream of the resistance device. The fibre bundle by means of the impulse drive during spreading is superimposed in an alternating manner in predefined sequences with an additional speed component in the conveying direction of the fibre bundle and/or with an additional speed component counter to the conveying direction.

  • Publication number: 20190010630
Abstract: Described are a device and a method for spreading a fibre bundle. In the case of the device, the fibre bundle is fed from a fibre bundle supply to a fibre consumer 5 by way of a resistance 3, having a first impulse drive 4.1 that interacts with said resistance 3, said fibre consumer 5 being disposed downstream of said resistance 3. The fibre bundle 1 by means of the impulse drive 4.1 during spreading is impingeable in an alternating manner in predefinable sequences with an additional speed component in the conveying direction of said fibre bundle and/or with an additional speed component counter to the conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 3952496
Abstract: Process of producing a composite thread in which at least one multifilament thread is run freely and substantially perpendicularly onto a core thread being drawn through a false-twist interval, such that the multifilament thread forms a sheath of at least partially separated filaments wrapped around the core thread, at least one of the core and sheath threads being heat-fixed or heat-set while in a twisted state. The product of the invention is a composite thread exhibiting the properties of natural fibers, especially wool-like properties, with relatively large variations in texture and crimping characteristics. The apparatus of the invention includes, in addition to conventional false-twist means for the core thread, a delivery means to supply at least one additional multifilament thread in a free path substantially perpendicularly onto the core thread in its false-twist interval.
