Publication number: 20240335793Abstract: The invention relates to the electrodialytic production of ammonia and sulfuric acid from ammonium-sulfate-rich (waste) waters. An object of said invention was to provide a process for recovering ammonia and sulfuric acid from waters containing ammonium sulfate in high concentrations. The process should be practicable on an industrial scale and have good energy efficiency. This problem is solved by a combination of electrodialysis and water electrolysis. It results in ammonium sulfate being split back into ammonia and sulfuric acid. Unlike conventional three-chamber processes, the process of the invention employs a cell having only two compartments, which can however be multiply parallelized within the stack. This type of scale-up is much more cost-effective than connecting multiple cells in parallel.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2024Publication date: October 10, 2024Applicant: Evonik Operations GmbHInventors: Felix STOCKMEIER, Silvia BLANK-SHIM, Patrik STENNER, Tobias WINKLER, Rainer STAHL, Jörg-Joachim Nitz

Publication number: 20220183523Abstract: A method for controlling a clearing process in a vacuum cleaning device, wherein the vacuum cleaning device comprises at least one filter, which is cleared regularly. The method proposed allows, in particular, differential-pressure-dependent filter clearing in accordance with requirements, during which filter aging and/or filter wear can also be taken into account. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a vacuum cleaning device by means of which the proposed control method can be carried out. For this purpose, the vacuum cleaning device can comprise, in particular, a filter clearing unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 9, 2020Publication date: June 16, 2022Inventors: Xaver HANSLMEIER, Svenja MÜLLER, Rainer STAHL, Dominik WENNING
