  • Publication number: 20250102223
Abstract: A method is provided for thermal drying treatment of electrode-separator assemblies having a negative electrode and a positive electrode. The method includes positioning the electrode-separator assemblies in a drying device in an effective range of a plurality of inductors configured to inductively heat the plurality of electrode-separator assemblies. The method further includes applying a vacuum for the thermal drying treatment and supplying a current to the inductors. Exactly one inductor is assigned to each electrode-separator assembly to be dried or more than two electrode-separator assemblies are assigned to an inductor that generates an alternating magnetic field of elongate extension in which the more than two electrode-separator assemblies can be arranged so that they are each exposed to essentially the same magnetic field strength in the alternating field.

  • Publication number: 20240387832
Abstract: An energy storage element includes a first anode and a second anode, each including a negative electrode material and a common anode current collector. The common anode current collector comprises a first main region, a second main region, and a material-free connecting section that connects the first main region and the second main region. The energy storage element additionally includes a first cathode and a second cathode, each of the first cathode and the second cathode includes a positive electrode material and a common cathode current collector. The common cathode current collector comprises a first main region, a second main region, and a material-free connecting section that connects the first main region and the second main region. The energy storage element further includes a first contact sheet contacting a connecting section of the anode current collector and a second contact sheet contacting a connecting section of the cathode current collector.

  • Publication number: 20240332547
Abstract: An energy storage element includes a cathode including a cathode current collector with a main region and a free edge strip and an anode including an anode current collector with a main region and a free edge strip. The energy storage element also includes first and second contact sheet metal members in direct contact with the free edge strips. The cathode and the anode are separated by a separator or a solid electrolyte layer and are arranged relative to one another such that one free edge strip protrudes from one side of an assembly including the cathode and the anode and the other free edge strip protrudes from the other side. At least one free edge strips has, as a result of a folding and/or a rolling-up process, a thickness that corresponds at least to the thickness of the associated cathode or anode in an adjacent main region.

  • Publication number: 20220393178
Abstract: A method for producing an electrode for a storage device for storing electrical energy is provided. A main body of the electrode is coated with at least one active material for storing electrical energy. A mixture, which includes the active material and fibers, is provided. The main body is coated with the mixture, which is free of a solvent that receives the fibers and escapes at least predominantly from the mixture after coating of the main body. By coating the main body with the mixture, a coating which includes the active material and the fibers is formed on the main body from the mixture.

  • Patent number: 10992012
Abstract: A cell for an electrical energy store is provided, including a cell housing within which there is arranged an electrode and on the outer side of which there is arranged a terminal which is galvanically connected to the electrode, wherein an electrical securing element is connected in a current path between the terminal and the electrode for the purposes of galvanic separation of the electrode and of the terminal. The cell is characterized by having the securing element arranged outside the cell housing. In this way, it is possible in a simple manner for the state of charge of the cell to be checked, and also for the cell to be discharged, from the outside.
