  • Patent number: 9617964
Abstract: A starting device for an internal combustion engine has a starter pinion which can be adjusted axially between an out-of-function position and an advanced drive position and is seated on a shaft, on which a securing ring is arranged in order to limit the axial movement of the starter pinion. A securing recess is made in the end side of the starter pinion, into which securing recess the securing ring protrudes and which fixes the securing ring radially in its position on the shaft. The starter pinion can be displaced axially into a removal position.

  • Patent number: 8261713
Abstract: A cranking device of an internal combustion engine includes an electric machine having a drive unit, which electric machine is in mechanical operative connection with a commutator by way of an armature shaft. A protective element is disposed in the region of the drive unit, particularly the stator and/or armature, in such a way that a separating effect is provided with respect to an operating region of the commutator.

  • Publication number: 20100213797
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for connecting parts of a multiple-part rotor carrier of an electric engine, the rotor carrier having a rotor hub as one part, and a carrier part arranged on the rotor hub, as another part, the rotor hub and carrier part being interconnected in a rotationally fixed manner by means of a connection process. According to the invention, the connection process consists of a penetrating joining method. The invention also relates to a multiple-part rotor carrier of an electric engine, having a rotor hub as one part, and a carrier part arranged on the rotor hub, as another part. The rotor hub and carrier part are interconnected in a rotationally fixed manner on at least one connection point. According to the invention, a penetrating joint is provided as the connection point.
