  • Publication number: 20220127015
Abstract: A driverless transport vehicle, a conveying system, and a method for transporting piece goods. The driverless transport vehicle overcomes a climbing section equipped with a primary side of an energy transmission device. The driverless transport vehicle, which can be moved individually and autonomously on a conveying plane, has a secondary side for energy pick-up in order, assisted by the energy pick-up, to overcome a height difference of the climbing section and/or a transition between the conveying plane and the climbing section. The formation of a connection between the primary side and the secondary side and the overcoming of the climbing section and of the transition between the conveying plane and the climbing section take place at a throughput speed without a slowing-down.

  • Patent number: 7344016
Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for orienting flat items of mail towards a narrow edge in a U-shaped conveying channel in which they are conveyed in an upright position and without being jammed. Before the items pass the conveying channel for the purpose of alignment, their thickness is measured. The distances of the lateral limit stops or limiting sections are changed by means of adjusting mechanisms for every item of mail in such a manner that at the end of the conveying channel, the item is oriented towards its lower narrow edge by virtue of its own gravity and the distance of the lateral limit stops of the conveying channel from every item of mail during transport through the conveying channel is only wide enough for the item not to collapse at all nor to collapse partially even if its intrinsic stiffness is poor.

  • Publication number: 20060249438
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for orienting flat items of mail towards a narrow edge in a U-shaped conveying channel (3) in which they are conveyed in an upright position and without being jammed. Before the items (1, 2) pass the conveying channel (3) for the purpose of alignment, their thickness is measured. The distances of the lateral limit stops or limiting sections are changed by means of adjusting mechanisms (7, 8, 9, 10) for every item of mail (1, 2) in such a manner that at the end of the conveying channel, the item is oriented towards its lower narrow edge by virtue of its own gravity and the distance of the lateral limit stops (4) of the conveying channel (3) from every item of mail (1, 2) during transport through the conveying channel (3) is only wide enough for the item not to collapse at all nor to collapse partially even if its intrinsic stiffness is poor.

  • Patent number: 7096743
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the flexural rigidity in the longitudinal direction of flat items of mail transported one after another on a conveying path includes a control device, a sensor for detecting the edges of the items of mail and signaling the control device when a mail item reaches a selected bearing point, a deflection apparatus that moves into the conveying path under the control of the control device to bend individual mail items and means for determining one or both of the magnitude of the deflection of the items of mail and the magnitude of the deflection force, the control device progressing signals from one or both of the sensor and measuring means to determine the flexural rigidity of the mail item.

  • Publication number: 20050000299
Abstract: The device for consignments transported one after the other in a path of conveyance has bearing points (3, 8, 11) and a deflection device (5) that can be moved practically vertical to said bearing points in the path of conveyance for bending the consignments (4), measuring means (6) for detecting the extent of deflection of the consignments (4) and/or measuring means for detecting the size of the deflection force and a measuring device for measuring the thickness of the consignment. The extent of the deflection of the consignments (4) at a set constant deflection force or the size of the deflection force for constant and equal deflection of the deflection device (5) is used as indication of the bending strength. The deflection device (5) or the bearing points (3, 8, 11) are positioned before every measurement in such a way that their spacing vertical to the direction of transport corresponds to the thickness of the consignment.

  • Patent number: 6716527
Abstract: A hotmelt adhesive is provided in the form of a granulate comprising at least one compact outer layer (shell) made up of at least one component which is not pressure sensitive up to 45° C. and which surrounds a core made up of other components of the hotmelt adhesive. The hotmelt adhesive granulates are free flowing even after storage at a high temperature under pressure.

  • Patent number: 6677842
Abstract: A load-disconnecting switch has a permanent-magnetic holding circuit. A coil (5), upon excitation thereof, generates a magnetic flux that is opposite to the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet (9). The armature (6) is biassed to an open position by an armature spring (10), so that the armature spring (10), when a defined operational excitation is exceeded, detaches the armature (6) from the core (7) of the magnet system, allowing said armature to open and thereby disconnecting a switching contact (15) and a fixed contact (16). The load-disconnecting switch can be switched on again by means of a spring clip (12) acting on said armature (6).

  • Patent number: 6152642
Abstract: In a connection between a first component having a U-shaped fork with two essentially parallel spaced legs having recesses formed therein and a second component having a portion disposed between the legs and a bolt extending into the recesses, the ends of the bolt are engaged in the recesses by spring clamps which hold the bolt in firm contact with wall portions of the recesses so as to provide for a play-free pivot connection between the two components.

  • Patent number: 6081176
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay has a magnet system, a base, a movable contact element, stationary contact elements and contact terminal elements. The base is formed by a printed circuit board arrangement. A first printed circuit board of the printed circuit board arrangement thereby faces toward the magnet system, and a second printed circuit board of the printed circuit board arrangement forms a bottom side of the relay. Each of the two printed circuit boards has interconnects. The movable contact element is actuated by an armature and is arranged between the two printed circuit boards. An actuation element that transmits the movement of the armature onto the movable contact element has a pin-shaped end section projecting through a recess in the first printed circuit board. The contact terminal elements are pin-shaped and project through congruent recesses in the two printed circuit boards.

  • Patent number: 5261521
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for turning small goods, particularly packages, on a conveyor belt and resides in that the apparatus is composed of mutually perpendicular transporting surfaces which form an independent part of the conveyor belt and are pivotal by way of a pivot drive partially or entirely about 90.degree. in such a manner that, after a 90.degree. pivoting process, the transporting surface which was flush in the conveyor belt direction on transporting surface is flush with the conveyor belt surface and the surface that was flush in the direction of the conveyor belt before the pivoting process is perpendicular to the conveyor belt surface.
