  • Patent number: 5482006
Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic feeding device (1) for supplying domestic animals, particularly fattening pigs, which dispenses bulk feed of varying flowability, where a feed bin (8) is provided above a feed trough (6), the base (9) of this bin (8) possessing a removal aperture, below which a feed plate (10) is located in such a way that a horizontal feed removal slit (11) is formed between the edge of the removal aperture of the feed bin (8) and the feed plate (10). So that the animal searching for food can act directly and with maximum force on the sticking supply of feed, a tool (12), hung loosely into the bin (8), is provided, which possesses at least one actuating element (7) projecting from the bin (8) through the feed removal slit (11) towards the animal in such a way that it can be moved back and forth by the animal and is guided in the feed removal slit (13).

  • Patent number: 5123379
Abstract: The device for the automatic feeding of domestic animals, in particular pigs, with pourable feed has a feed trough in a housing above which there is a cone-shaped feed container with an opening in the floor and a vibrating device which passes through this opening. The front wall of the housing has an opening which fits the head of the animal to be fed, located underneath the hopper wall of the feed container, between the latter and the trough. In addition, there is a vibrating device with a vibrating plate which is larger than the opening in the container floor. The distance between the vibrating plate and the container floor can be adjusted to the relevant grain size of the feed.

  • Patent number: 4311117
Abstract: The animal drinking fountain includes an elongated tap housing having a bore with a liquid inlet opening and a spring-loaded plunger movably disposed between an open and a closed position within the housing. A valve operating lever is pivotally mounted on the tap housing to engage the valve plunger. A valve seating carrier is disposed between the valve plunger and the liquid inlet and opening of the housing. A sealing mechanism is disposed between the valve plunger and the valve seat on the valve seating carrier to seal the open bore which faces toward the valve plunger. The sealing assembly includes a spacer or a valve basket non-rotatably supported on and axially displaceable with respect to the valve seating carrier.

  • Patent number: 4187804
Abstract: A water dispenser for livestock, particularly pigs, having a connecting portion for connection to a water pipe and the like with the dispenser preferably being in a horizontal or slightly inclined position and having a mouthpiece to be activated by the animal, the mouthpiece projecting from a casing of the dispenser and being tippable relative to the casing axis. The dispenser has a normally closed valve which is spring loaded to a closed position and is movable by the rear of the mouthpiece for effecting unseating of the valve in amount corresponding to the displacing of the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece and a foot of the valve have discs of generally the same size with the pivoting of the mouthpiece being transmitted by its disc to the disc of the foot to activate the valve by the tilting mouthpiece.
