  • Patent number: 6766971
Abstract: A method and an installation for operating a system for comminuting scrap material is provided. The installation includes a supply device (1) for the scrap material to be comminuted, and a comminuting machine (2) with at least one motor-driven (2.3) rotor (2.2) which has comminuting tools (2.2.1) and is horizontally positioned in a housing (2.1) and has an ejection door (2.1.1). The inventive installation also includes drive means for controlling the power and for protecting the installation from scrap material which is difficult to comminute or which cannot be comminuted at all, such as coarse, heavy or hard parts. For optimizing the comminuting process, the values of the motor output, of the rotation speed of the rotor, of the temperature of the motor and the motor bearings and/or of the height of the scrap material flow (3) supplied to the comminuting machine (2), are inputted in a controller (4) and used to control/regulate the scrap material supply. Technical means (4.5, 4.6, 4.

  • Patent number: 4157456
Abstract: An audiometer that automatically produces test tones of predetermined duration whose frequency and level are changed in accordance with a programme. The persons being examined actuate a switch or the like each time that a test tone is perceived and the parameters of said test tone (frequency and level) are stored in a memory. Thus, evaluation becomes very simple. Furthermore, steps have been taken to measure the background level in the test room and to ensure that the test tone is repeated when the background level exceeds a maximum value during the time that the test tone is produced.

  • Patent number: 4109106
Abstract: A combined tone-speech audiometer for the semi-automatic recording of the measuring values found both in tone audiometry and in speech audiometry, the measuring point each time being defined by the point of intersection of two sliders. For tone audiometry the frequency slider is locked in locking positions which are non-equidistant, whereas for speech audiometry it is locked in positions which are equidistant. For this purpose a rotatable roller, spindle or the like is provided which has on its circumference two groups of locking positions, one for tone audiometry and one for speech audiometry. To change from one locking mode to another the spindle is rotated until the other group of locking positions is operative.
