Abstract: The invention relates to a method of and an apparatus for producing beverage containers.For making beverage containers having a piercable through-hole for a straw in their front sheeting, which is sealed on the inside of the front sheeting by means of a closure strip, a piercing hole is formed in a front side sheeting web conveyed in conveying direction, whereafter a closure sheeting web is fed in conveying direction to the front side sheeting web and is then sealed around the piercing hole to the inside of the front side sheeting web. A rear side sheeting web is supplied in conveying direction such that the inside of the front side sheeting web welded to the closure sheeting web moving along with the latter faces the inside of the front side sheeting web. Thereafter, the front side sheeting web and the rear side sheeting web are welded together at least in part along the lateral edges of the beverage container to be produced, with the closure sheeting web being included therein.

Abstract: The invention relates to a beverage container, in particular a beverage bag, made of a monomaterial or a multi-layer compound material, which is provided with a piercing opening for inserting a straw.In order to make a beverage container available which makes an easy insertion of a straw possible and, at the same time, is justifiable under the viewpoints of environmental protection, the piercing opening is punched through all layers of the mono- or compound material and a sealing foil is affixed to the inner side of the mono- or compound material around the piercing opening, which is outwardly exposed by the piercing opening.

Abstract: A cycloadduct of the formula ##STR1## is prepared by reacting 2,2'-(2,5-furandiyldimethylidine)bis-propanedinitrile with 8-methoxypheptafulvene to form a tetrahydroazulene intermediate and then heating a solution of the tetrahydroazulene intermediate in a boiling solvent to drive off methanol.

Abstract: A sweetening agent having an improved sucrose-like flavor, which comprises a) from 0.3 to 10% by weight of at least one synthetic sweetener selected from the group consisting of aspartame, acesulfame K, sodium cyclamate and saccharin, and b) from 40.0 to 98.0% by weight of at least one dearomatized and concentrated fruit preparation with a dry solids content of 60.degree. to 80.degree. Brix and a dry product made therefrom.

Abstract: Two vacuum-type suction bells are movable towards and away from a bag for opening the bag. When open, a feed pipe is inserted into the bag for filling the bag with fluid. Sealing elements move toward the bag for sealing the same about the feed pipe. The sealing elements have a recess into which is received the suction bells as the sealing elements abut the feed pipe. The suction bells may move relative to the sealing elements.

Abstract: The present invention refers to dicyanovinylsubstituted furan derivatives, processes for their production and their application. The new furan derivatives are represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein x.sup.1 and x.sup.2 are equal or different and stand for H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, halogen, NO.sub.2 or CN.In the general formula I, n may be 0 or 1. In case of n=0, A means e.g. --CH.sub.2 OR.sup.1 (with e.g. R.sup.1 .dbd.H, alkyl or aryl).The compounds according to this invention can be used directly or in the form of their cycloadducts in several applications of electro-optical fields, e.g. for the manufacture of optical data recording systems or organic (electron) conducting materials or electron-transfer catalysts.

Abstract: This invention relates to a spraying device comprising a receptacle for the fluid to be sprayed and a spray head disposed on the receptacle for spraying the fluid.To provide a spraying device of this kind which is characterized by an operation which is on the whole easier, safer, more pleasant and cheaper, especially during refilling and fluid change, the present invention aims at a spraying device wherein the receptacle comprises a refill pouch for receiving the fluid and a holding means for detachably holding the refill pouch, and wherein the spray head is mounted on the holding means and connected to the interior of the refill pouch through a connection means.

Abstract: A bolt welding gun is provided with supporting legs extending outwardly from the gun housing which can be displaced to accommodate different bolt-attaching situations. The supporting legs can be mounted in a ring-shaped housing part which is rotatable about the driving axis of the gun. Alternatively, the ring-shaped housing part can be formed of individual segments with at least one segment arranged to be pivoted about an axis parallel to the driving axis. In another embodiment, the part of the housing to which the supporting legs are secured, can be provided with a plurality of receptacles greater in number than the supporting legs used so that the legs can be moved between the receptacles in accordance with the support arrangement desired.
