Abstract: A dice shaker device and method for providing a randomized state of at least one die. The dice shaker device includes a dice plate, a dice plate actuator configured to apply a reciprocating force to the dice plate, a casing, a circumferential ridge surface extending around an outer perimeter of the dice plate, and a dice rolling space at least partly defined by the casing, the dice plate, and the circumferential ridge surface. The circumferential ridge surface can be arranged in parallel with an upper surface of the dice plate, and the circumferential ridge surface can have a width that is equal to or less than half a width of the at least one die that the dice shaker device is arranged to provide a randomized state of.

Abstract: A card shoe and a method of manufacturing the card shoe. The card shoe includes a housing with an elongated body and a receptacle for receiving playing cards. The housing includes a first plate and a second plate. An opening between the first plate and the second plate for removing the playing cards from the receptacle is adjustable by changing a separation between the first plate and a distal end portion of the second plate.

Abstract: Mechanism (which can include system, methods, and media) for removing a card from a gaming table are provided, the mechanisms comprising: detecting when a playing card is placed on a door on a table surface of a gaming table; and causing the door to automatically open downward when the playing card is detected as being placed on the door so that the playing card slides downward to a space below the table surface. In some embodiments, these mechanisms further comprise controlling the opening of the door using a hardware processor, and optionally using stepper motor to control the opening of the door. In some embodiments, these mechanisms further comprise generating a graphics version of the playing card; and presenting the graphics version of the playing card on a player's computer display after the playing card has slid below the table surface.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an automated dice tossing apparatus comprising; a main body portion; an elongated toss-arm, having a proximal portion rotatably attached to said main body portion about a pivot axis, a vessel mounted to a distal portion of said toss-arm for holding at least one die; a pneumatic actuator configured to, upon actuation, move the toss-arm about the pivot axis with an ejection force such that at least one die held in the vessel is tossed away from said vessel towards a predefined target area; and control circuitry configured to randomly determine a magnitude of the ejection force within a predefined range in order to randomize a set of initial conditions for each actuation of the pneumatic actuator.
